This is what went on yesterday at Memoir w/Kim on my raven/roses/jewels arm. I am in love with it!

When you started this thread @Delicious, I didn't think I had a moon, then I remembered I did have the faint outline of a crescent moon shaped jewel. Today Kim shaded it in along with some other stuff, this is a pic taken from the table: (better pic now on Latest Lowdown)

Made me laugh. That would be a good sig line. :D

The feeling of the needle haha, it really does sound like a drug addiction when you put it that way. But no you are not just weird...then again my sig reads "I may be weird." So maybe. But yes, it is definitely a rush. I love the sound of the buzzing, everything about it. I especially love it when there are other people getting tattooed at the same time so there's the sound of multiple machines buzzing. Woo hoo! Can't wait for Saturday!

Hi, By "creatives" are you talking about tattooers? So, what are you thinking about getting for your first tattoo? Any idea on which artist you will go to?

omg. I have actually considered getting a shirt like that... ......for my FIVE YEAR OLD! The one I'm thinking of also said, "Kindergarten Rocks" on the front. But I didn't get it. Seemed a little too cheesy even for a kid. - - - Updated - - - Oh here's one I get sometimes... My arms are all B&G and I have had several people say, "You're getting it colored in, right?"

There were a couple other saving graces: Kim Saigh and Hannah Aitchison, but they were only in the first couple seasons... I go to Kim now but I will say for the record, I did not discover her because of that show. We have a mutual friend who recommended her to me then told me she was on that show. So then I looked up the old episodes she was on and watched a couple before getting tattooed by her. Anyway, cheesy show or not, there were some talented artists on it. She is not only a good tattooer, but a very cool person.

Although, Nevarro's tattoos have seemed to get better as the show goes on...

Had fun re-purposing toilet paper rolls into cute monsters with my kindergartners...also dressed up like a "teacher stereotype" for halloween. That took some explaining to our students. We joked with the class that instead of having a party we were going to have them write a thousand sentences. When they started to protest, we taught them to sing "You gotta fight for your right to party". It was a fun day.

I am not patient enough to wait until my tattoo is done or even healed to post so here are some progress shots. Went for about 6 hours yesterday shading in the raven with Kim Saigh. It was fun, as always. Kim is so humble about her own work, always talking about the tattooers she admires. Well, I think she's right up there with them. The cat wanted to be in 2 of these pics and the daughter wanted to be in the other. :D

I am in my fifth year working with kindergartners with autism and this thread has been uplifting to read. I look forward to seeing what tattoos you end up with @JTJTJT. Hopefully you will share pictures on here.

well jeez @beez, sounds like you did the convention right! A little envious and a lot happy for you over here!!! edited to add: @MoistTowelette please do not "spare us" any pics! I don't have any traditional tattoos, I think most ppl here regardless of style like to look at any good tattoos, and I'm assuming yours is.

Ha, yes, I take a Benadryl or something similar when I get home from a tattoo...so I can get some sleep!

So pretty much the whole "Ill take ANY advice you have or suggestions! Lay it on me. Should I get it on my wrist?" was just bs. The advice to not get it facing you is the common wisdom here. If you don't want to take that advice, of course you don't have to, but you're the one who asked.

Cool, another old Flipper fan here. Used to spray paint that fish on rural roads, and draw it all over my notebooks back in the 80s.
