Great day in London today. My wife got booked in with Crispy Lennox at Black Garden & Lucy Prior at Into You for next year. I also managed to get booked in with Duncan X in March.
To cap it off I hooked up with this bitch.

went into frith street on saturday to see if there was any space and got this sweet Rock of Ages by emiliano. If they have space for walk ins or if you can grab a cancellation you definitely need to go get tattooed there!

I personally want to give my tattoos a bit of breathing room around them. But this doesn't mean I'm not trying to cram in as many small tattoos as possible. I really like how dots and stars look though! I would totally agree on the wait until the time is right advice, and whilst you might not manage an entire leg for example in one session, getting a section complete and having the same person do them makes good sense. For me the person to go to for dots and stars in Oliver Peck.

@NathanShearer, Frank was mentioned one page ago, by Iwar. It's terrifying how quickly Frank learns. I wish he would tattoo more and make music less. I like his tattoos and flash.
Miles doesn't have an internet 'presence' other than the Frith Street website but he's been tattooing in and around London or Australia for 20 years. He was at IntoYou for quite a while. Eye-opening stories for sure. 99% of them not fit for the internet. ;)

Adding to Stewart's earlier post about all of the guys working at Into You around the same time. There was a guy that worked there named Jason Saga. He did a lot of Japanese stuff that was pretty incredible. He passed away a few years ago, but if you Google him you can still find a few examples of his work. I feel a bit weird posting about someone that has passed away, but he was a really good tattooer, and I think that he deserves the recognition.

Ian Flower and Aaron Hewitt are some of the best tattooers in the UK/Europe right now.
    Ian: New Skool Tattoos
Aaron: Aaron Hewitt – CULT CLASSIC TATTOO
Nobody ever talks about these guys and I get puzzled looks when I mention their names. I love looking at their work.

I'm relatively new to the forum and the tattoo world but I definitely think that Frank Carter deserves recognition. I've got three tattoos done by him and couldn't be happier with them. One of the tattoos was a walk in done about a month ago which he stayed late to finish which I thought was really cool. He's a good guy who does awesome tattoos and couldn't recommend him enough. Also Miles at Frith Street Tattoo is an amazing artist, got my first tattoo from him and it's incredible. He can do any style and has a ton of cool stories about tattooing and travelling. Sorry about the quality of some of the pictures, I'm no photographer.

The top three tattoos are by frank and the bottom one is by miles.

thats real nice of you to say tim, thank you. the shop i worked at before Frith st was owned by a non tattooer and at the time, i left with a real sour taste in my mouth. i wasnt sure about dante since i didnt know him but all i heard was good things from well respected tattooers and really, i was stoked to work at frith st, even for the one day a week i was started on. immediately i realised that this man knew and cared about tattooing more than i did then and probably even now.
He has been part of the tattooing 'scene' for many years now and well respected pillars of the scene call him friend. i'm proud to work there, to call him my boss and to be his friend. there's always an exception to the rule and as a shop i do feel we are one.
I've been long trying to buy my tattoo supplies from either people i know care about tattooing and from tattooers themselves. everyday is an ethical matter in tattooing, every choice you make affects tattooing and i have learnt to pick my battles carefully so to speak

What about non-tattooers selling all of us tattoo equipment? Some will speak strongly against those who don't tattoo owning shops and swear off ever giving them money, but then will make an order with a non-tattooer owned supplier and unknowingly act hypocritical. I think in tattooing these days, in my opinion, we need good people who care about the business and who bring something positive to the table of tattooing, tattooer or not(although tattooer preferred). I just came back from working at Frith Street Tattoo in London, I watched a bunch of very well known and respected tattooers work there in the last two weeks, not to mention the incredibly talented crew that are residents their. The owner, Dante, is not a tattooer, but he is a good human being and cares for his employees as if they were family. I am proud to say I worked there and as far as Dante(the owner) goes, I would take a bullet for him.
