  1. Here's a great shot of Lynn and me while we were at Epcot last week. During our time at Disney Studios there were several Star Wars characters there that you could have pictures taken with. My son and his family wanted to see Chewbacca so Lynn and I sat outside for a few minutes since there was a 25 minute wait to get through the line. As we sat there, we saw that the wait time for Kylo Ren was only 10 minutes....so Lynn said let's go get our picture taken. They bring you into a room with the person who is totally in character. Kylo Ren, one of the key villains in The Force Awakens, watched as we walked into the room and immediately confronted Lynn leaning into her and telling her he could sense her thoughts and that she was supportive of the rebellion. Lynn played right along and stood toe to toe with him. We got a bunch of great pics of the two of them - here are two.
  2. I haven't been to SF since 1992 so I'm not much of a guide - of course you need to spend time at Fisherman's Wharf. Tons of places to shop and great food abounds. Have a great time!!!!
  3. Welcome to the forum 0 and great sleeve!
  4. From my perspective, I think it looks fine. Any tattoo will lose definition the farther you are away from it. Scale is important - which is why you'll many times hear the recommendation Go Large or Go Home. I would not try to "fix" again when you've already twice gotten what you'd asked for. Move on. Decide what you want to do next and find an artist who will talk you through placement and scale - not just do what you ask him/her to do. A solid artist will understand how size and placement fit into your body type and will make recommendations accordingly.

    Hello!

    Nice work!! Welcome!!
  6. @Baboom Awesome doesn't even come close to describing it. Wow!!
  7. Been away for about a week - Lynn and I took our son and his family to Disney World as part of our membership in the SKI Club...Spend the Kids Inheritance. We'd rather do things with them now than die and leave them money. It was the first time there for our daughter-in-law and our twin 8 year old grand daughters. Our son and grand son have been there before with us on an earlier trip when he was going through the divorce from his first wife. What a great time we had. 5 days, 4 parks pretty much non-stop. Although the girls had a few moments along the way from being tired they were amazing - and rode every roller coaster and fist ride we went on. Their reactions were generally..that was really scary...let's do it again. Here are Lynn and me enjoying dinner at Disney Springs a few hours before the rest of the family arrived. Me with our twin grand daughters taking a break at Epcot. And the winning event of the trip for the girls was having dinner with the Disney Princesses at Cinderella's Castle. For the quality of the food and the experience, well worth the cost. Lynn and I had champagne with dinner and the girls loved meeting the princesses who came to each table and signed autographs, talked with the girls and took pictures with them. And, we were inside the dining room - on the upper floor of the castle - during the fireworks so you got a truly unique view of watching them from inside the castle. The smiles say it all.
  8. Lots of great advice here...all saying the same thing. Love your tattoo - each one is personal and it is the little quirks that make them so. The issue isn't the tattoo, it's your OCD. In the famous words from the movie Frozen.....Let it go.
  9. Welcome to the forum!! And post some pics!!!!
  10. We will all confirm that he freaked out!! Truly, take your time and investigate the options. Consult with an artist(s) and make an informed decision. Lots of people get buyers remorse initially when the permanence sinks in, especially if the work is done on impulse. But, your intent as a memorial was there from the beginning so from that perspective you've done well. And, you got someone to do the work who executed it well. +2. So, now think your way through what's next.
  11. I'm not experienced enough to really advise you on lasering, but my understanding is that it's not going to totally eliminate what you have. And, it's expensive and painful. To me, the idea of adding to it to create at least a half sleeve - perhaps even covering some of it through that process - is a better possibility. Although I only have two tattoos, both done in the last year, I think the quality of your work, size and placement are fine. My advice would be to build on it, not to worry about it.
  12. I am also sorry for your loss - just lost my mom 3 weeks ago. The work looks well done and placed - can you tell us exactly what it is you don't like about it? Is it, perhaps, an emotional reaction to you mom's passing? You generally have 3 options - Live with it, laser it, or cover it. The first is, generally, the easiest, least expensive and least expensive route. Only you, though, can ultimately decide which route to take. In any case, welcome to the forum.
  13. Lynn always makes Valentine's Day special for us. She cooks a great meal and we just spend the entire evening together. After dinner, we decided to watch the first night of The Westminster Dog Show that we'd recorded. Crawled under a blanket in the family room and by 8 I was already drifting off to sleep. All of the stress and emotions of losing my Mom just finally washed out, I think. We were in bed by 8:30 and I was asleep by 8:31. Best night's sleep I've had in a month. On Friday, we head off on a trip to Disneyworld - taking my son, his wife and our 3 grandkids. It's going to be a blast!!
  14. @Gingerninja Can't wait to see the healed pics!! But, sorry about the vertigo. Ugh. You finished it, though. Done!!
