  1. check out albert parry's book, published in 1933. he interviews tattooers from that era as well as some cool pieces of tattooing history in it. it's not jammed with photos but it's affordable and a good read.
  2. Howdy Dick, enjoyed the interview!
  3. Go back and show the person who did it. Regardless. Do that. Not only can you usually avoid bad advice but also, if you develop any problems/reactions, etc from a tattoo or aftercare. Your tattooer will want to make notes anf ask you some questions and document everything. This is important in figuring out what's going on as well as helping to avoid potential problems in the future.
  4. plastic wrap is cheap at the grocery store, sterile bandages from a medical supply place cost more. like @daveborjes said, it's just to get you home. usually because some local health dept requires you to leave with something on it. it's not for healing the tattoo up. so whatevers on it, take it off when you get somewhere to wash it up and do your first aftercare ritual.
  5. I wish I was the person that created that sound that's used in every reality show for when they start talking about something "bad" about to happen or what's coming up after the break.....it's literally in every single reality show. I saw a brief promo clip online of this stinkmasters and it has it too. hahaha
  6. I'll see your Michael angelo and ing-vay and raise you a great kat!
  7. Really, if you brought that black up a little tighter to the clover and left a tight empty skin silouhette around it, it would make it seem like it was part of the overall design a little more.
  8. Sounds more like a case of "taking chicks crap" haha If she doesn't get your thoughts about it or understand the sentimental feelings, then I don't know what to tell you. Well, maybe I do but its not my place since I don't know more than what you've shared.
  9. @ShawnPorter, email me when you get a chance regarding artwork and such.
  10. I figured it was a typo for virgin tears. But @irezumi is correct.
  11. Not all reds have a history of reactions. You could potentially have a reaction to any color and it doesn't always happen immediately. I've seen tattoos that were over a decade old that raised up and had never had any problems prior.
  12. - - - Updated - - - did you check out chino's team sleep project from a few years back. not really heavy, but pretty awesome.
  13. i'd think it was rad if someone gave me an old razor.
  14. I'm just going to start saying permanent dermis pigment retention patterns.
  15. I started a thread about such things way back.
  16. A couple years back, I listened to that album everyday at least once. No matter what I was in the mood to listen to the rest of the day, it still got played.
  17. Haha, well I've got a buddy in the uk that has given me an open invitation for whenever I want to come over. Maybe once I get this house sold and move I'll be able to afford a trip that direction.
  18. every tattoo I do contains tiny particles of black sabbath.
  19. Bite dee bullet baybeee, bite dee buullleet!
  20. mick harris was doing scorn and lull in conjunction with napalm death stuff so I don't think its too absurd. haha. probably favorite broadrick stuff is fall of because or techno animal...but I like most of what he does regardless.
