  1. Hey @keepcalm since we know each other in real life, the only thing I can say, is that well, it gets easier in time. I still get the cold shoulder and I am in this industry. Its just socialization and stigma from a different era. The only time my folks did not get a bit miffed was when I showed them the tattoo I did on myself (Sidenote, I really should not have put that anywhere near my good tattoos). But, you know, that is your prerogative, you're a chill, nice, and seemingly successful person. Just keep at being the best version of yourself.

  2. That was my first impression too, @CultExciter. But after listening to almost nothing else for the past few days I'm digging it just as much if not more than the first one.

Plus you can't beat the price: free.

After about 20 listens I'm with you and @CABS now. It didn't hit me as hard as the first record did at first, but now I'm noticing even more what they did lyrically and with the production. An unstoppable team these two are.

I've been listening to GDP for a year and a half. Useless Eaters was in my top 5 albums last year. Found out a week or two ago that a fellow LSTer made a bunch of shirts for him. Small world, getting smaller. I'll leave it up to said LSTer to publicly voice his input.

I just peeped this. For some reason, Edan's "Beauty And The Beat" comes to mind when I listen to this even though it sounds nothing alike. Probably b/c the production is so incredibly dense with the very distinctive Atlantic Coast vibe.

  3. I respectfully disagree. RTJ2 still punches me in face. "Love Again" feat. Gangsta Boo goes so hard. Listen to it with headphones with BASS. Contemplating seeing them live.

My man, I'm gonna relisten to this record right now to make sure I see this from your point of view. :D

But Love Again is certainly rad, especially it's not so subtle reference to "Put It In Your Mouth"

  4. because i was under the impression that this site had tattoo artists...

As an apprentice, I've made plenty of blown out lines. @JAllen is tattooer and he responded to you. Plus the people who have talked to you thus far have tattoos from incredibly top notch tattooers so they know what to expect.

Migration is a bullshit term if it is so new. Yes, that is them covering up the idea that is was a blow out. But it doesn't matter. There is nothing to fix this tattoo to get what you originally wanted. You're not a tattooer, therefore you have no idea how hard it is to do something that perfect. If all you're going to do is bitch and moan on Yelp, then that is not the type of community we foster around here. Talk to your tattooer, let them know, that yes, it is a blown out line. If they still push against you, then I'm not sure what you can do. Like @JAllen noted, most tattooers want to have good work out there and fix their faults. If they don't, then you chose poorly in regards to the quality of their scruples.

  5. Tattoos are imperfect b/c they are done by a human, which in and of themselves are imperfect. I have some blown out lines from really rad and reputable tattooers. Skin is a weird and funny thing. Lots of different depths, lots of variables. Don't sweat it too much. If you continue to dwell on every imperfection you'll go crazy.

There really isn't anything you can do to fix this sans lasering or getting it covered. I would consider that if you wanted to, but the tattoo isn't ruined by any means. It's just an imperfection done by an imperfect person.
