  1. I changed the user titles to: Newbie, Fledgling, Contributor, Champion .. I know pretty lame (but slightly less boring), so please post your suggestions! :)
  2. Hi Guys, I made some adjustments that should improve the way this stuff works. It adds some overhead to the way the forum runs, so if pages start loading too slowly, I may have to set it back to the way it was until we can address it with hardware upgrades. As always - thank you for the suggestions for improvements - we really do appreciate them, as we want this to always be the best Tattoo Forum on teh interwebs!
  3. Hi Deb, Anyone w/ over 100 posts get's the senior title. :) Cheers
  4. Great meeting you Iwar - thanks for sharing your journey (and journal) with us!
  5. Hi Jack, You should be able to upload your profile picture following these steps: 1. select 'settings' at the top right of the site 2. select 'edit profile picture' under 'my settings' on the left 3. either link to your profile picture, or browse and upload from your PC using the options provided. Let me know if you get stuck etc. Cheers
  6. If you don't mind, could you let me know what the other screen name was so that I can investigate to make sure same thing isn't happening to other people? thanks!
  7. Hi Britishink - thanks for asking, I'm sure others have the same question. Here are the steps to create your own blog here on LST: 1. Select the 'Tattoo Blogs' tab at the top of the page. 2. Select the 'My Blog' link at the far left of the sub-menu at the top of the 'Blogs' page. 3. Select the red 'Create New Post' button on the far right at the top. 4. Type in your blog entry and hit the 'Post Now' button at the bottom. Let us know if you get stuck or have any other questions about how to use the site. Enjoy.
  8. @dcostello @hogg @MsRad @Iwar : Great meeting all of you last night - it was nice to finally put some faces to names! Perfect way to mark the one year anniversary of LST. Looking forward to the next one. Here are the pics I took.
  9. Thank you to all the members of LST - it has been a blast building the site and watching it take on a life of it's own! here's to many more!
  10. Can do - can you post a draft here for me? sorry - I have two munchkins hanging on me at the moment.. will there be an issue if more than 12 ppl show up?.. :)
  11. Hi Dave, I think this has been fixed, but please let me know if you're still seeing the no permission message. Thanks!
  12. Hi Ursula, 1. Have you tried using the 'forgot password' function? That should send you a link to reset your password - not sure it will work, but worth a try. 2. Are you able to log into facebook at work? some companies block it w/ their firewall..
  13. holy moly - thanks for pointing this out! should be fixed now, let me know if not. @Lochlan

    hi!

    Hi Sean, Welcome to LST!
  18. @slayer9019 - thanks for the great suggestion! We have implemented a 10 post minimum requirement before users can create new threads (they can create an intro thread in the intro forum, however). Users w/ less than 10 posts will always see this notice: Let's see how this goes - we can fine tune as needed.Cheers
  19. Thanks to a great suggestion by @gougetheeyes - all LST members can now communicate directly with each other to let people know when you are talking about or to them in a post. All you have to do is put the '@' symbol directly before the username (not case sensitive) of the member you want to reference and it will automatically turn into a link to their profile and appear as a 'mention' under their 'notifications' at the top of the page - same way as 'Likes' work. Incidentally, you will also receive a notification when someone 'quotes' you in a post. And finally, you will now see 'mentions' and 'quotes' tabs on your user profile that will keep a running 'stream' of such. Let us know if you have questions etc, and please keep the forum suggestions coming! Enjoy.
  20. Thanks to a great suggestion by @Iwar we have updated the Tattoo Gallery voting system to use 'Like' instead of star rating. Now you can simply click the green 'Like' button at the top right of the Pictures you want to vote for - much simpler! The contest rules still apply, but it will now be based on the total number of Likes rather than rating. Enjoy.
  21. I can't promise, but upgrading to the latest version (5) might fix the issue.
  22. Hey Guys, so I made some progress on converting the rating to a 'likes' system - I'll tune it up some more hopefully tomorrow. I agree that basically all we are doing is saying we like something or not. no need to over complicate with a scale of how much we like it! Thanks again for this great idea @Iwar !
  23. Thanks Iwar - that is a great idea. I'm not finding an easy way to integrate the 'like' system from the forum area into the Gallery, but I may be able to adjust the rating system to do essentially the same thing so that people will essentially just vote for the images they like, instead of having to choose from a scale of 1-5. Re: what's new - if you look at the submenu of the 'what's new' tab, you'll see an option for new blog posts, and under the 'gallery' tab, there is a 'what's new' feature there for new images as well. Getting them both to display on the main what's new page all at once is probably more development work than it's worth at this point. Thanks again for all your suggestions - please do keep them coming!
  24. Hi @hogg & @Iwar - thanks for your feedback! Would it be an improvement to sort images by number of comments instead? Our goal is to help surface pictures that are spectacular so that they can get the exposure that they deserve, and so that people can find them more easily.
