  1. finally got around to fixing this. now it's a place where you can see who has won the TOTM contest. thanks again for reporting it.
  2. hey guys unfortunately still no luck on this. for now the option to like isn't available in tapatalk at least - so people won't waste their time trying to use it there unsuccessfully. i know that this is an important feature but the gremlins are against us on this one. I'm going to work on setting up a new testing environment to see if i can chase down the cause there but don't hold your breath for a speedy fix.. just being realistic. Thanks for being the best community in the universe and for your ongoing patience. Eventually the site will work the same on a mobile device as it does on a monitor (responsive) and we'll have access to all of the same features on both.
  3. Yep - we're now on the new likes system and all likes were imported from the old one. Thanks for your patience as I work out the bugs. still not working in tapatalk yet unfortunately.
  4. Yep, that is a good thing for now since it wasn't working in tapatalk anyways. ;) Assuming that is what you are referring to?
  5. Ok, finally making some headway on a new likes system that will hopefully work on tapatalk. You will start noticing some differences in the like feature, but the basic functionality should stay the same. I'll post an update here if/when I can confirm it is working.
  6. Thanks for the heads up - I will take a look at this soon!
  7. The Like feature appear to work from Tapatalk, but then when you refresh you'll notice that your like has disappeared. This is an ongoing issue that has not been resolved by Tapatalk yet, several other forum owners are complaining about the same thing. There is even a different 'like' system that I would be willing to switch to, but it also does not work in Tapatalk. Unfortunately there is no other forum app out there that has supports this feature either. I do plan to migrate LST to a new software platform entirely sometime in the next year hopefully, and once that is done, we wont even need tapatalk because the site will be fully responsive and will just reflow to work on any size screen, complete with all the features that work on the full desktop size. Tapatalk will also work on the new version, and the like system does work in that one if you prefer tapatalk over the 'responsive' version for some reason.
  8. Great intro - welcome to LST!
  9. Hey guys, I went ahead and implemented google search via the LST search box - so now we have site-wide search there that should match what you find in google. I haven't tested extensively yet, so please let me know of any wonkyness. enjoy
  10. Thanks for adding your votes - this is still on my radar and I'll keep working on finding a solution.
  11. annoying. thanks for your patience. eventually I will migrate the site to a new software platform as this one is ageing, but not quite there yet..
  12. Posts are only editable for a short while after you post them. We do this to preserve the logic of threads over time. Cheers
  13. That's a weird one. Seems like both of these issues could be related to your browser session - like it thinks you're already logged in or not logged in w/ the 'like' button not showing up. I guess try logging in and out, or try a different browser next time it happens. Let me know if it persists - and especially if you can let me know how to reproduce the issue so I can try to diagnose. Thanks again for the feedback folks, much appreciated.
  14. Seem to be there for me: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/worst-tattoo-ever/3541-our-bad-tattoos.html Anybody else not seeing them? Note that you can't 'like' your own posts. :)
  15. Seems like that should work, but you are right that it doesn't seem to. I'll see if there's a solution for that, but for now the answer is no. Cheers
  16. This is a good question for your tattooer - if they're ok with it, then it's fine. If it's a picture of you there shouldn't be any problem here.
  17. doing this now - you'll have to re-log in w/ BrianH as your username. stand by.
  18. ..right you have to leave a blank space after the username, and put the @ symbol right before the username, w/ no spaces.. @Zillah enjoy
  19. Thanks for the suggestion, we have considered this but decided against it as it uses a lot of server resources and it opens the door for spammers. Cheers
