finally updated my blog. writing is hard. let me know you see any grahamar or speeling misteaks. The Back Piece: An Uncomfortable Journey: Session One: Kings Ave NYC
-
This reminds me of the time I ordered some chicken from a takeout place down the street. I called ahead with specific directions about how it should be seasoned (no sauce) and cooked (fried). When I got there to pick it up I was so hungry that I ignored the fact that it was covered in BBQ sauce and grilled. It tasted really good and I ate it all as soon as I got home but it wasn't what I specified so I returned a few days later to demand a refund.

In this thread, we commiserate about healing our fresh tattoos.

The line was just because it was the day Mike opened his books for new work. In the past he did this every year or 2, but according to the shop manager that was the most people the ever had lined up. On a normal day there is no line. -
If Henning goes I'm definitely there.

I 2nd the Dan Sinnes recommendation. Big fan of his work.

Healing the outline on my back has so far been pretty easy and comfortable. Looking forward to those huge patches of dry flakey shading. -
A scented candle and/or scented lotion.

There is no place to put the snow anymore but luckily it is still the light and powdery variety so it hasn't been back breaking work.

so far these are the repeats i have: 2 dragons 2 roses 2 daggers 3 skulls 3 snakes 4 hannyas and will probably end up with more skulls, another dragon, and another snake. -
good idea. haven't posted a write up about my 1st session experience yet but will soon.

I've been looking at pictures of my own back/ass on my phone at work. If i get caught, I can't get in trouble for looking at my own ass right?

some spots were okay, some were bad, and some were really bad.

The seeming decline of "street shop" tattoo parlors
tatB replied to cltattooing's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
My Kings Ave NYC experience was similar to @suburbanxcore and @CultExciter . A few artists were accommodating walk-ins between appointments. The 21 year old girls getting wrist initials and rib feathers had the pleasure of seeing me get my ass tattooed. -
Here are the results of the first session with Rubendall at the Kings Ave Manhattan shop: I have a few more pictures to share but I want to organize my thoughts and write a little blog entry to post along with those photos.

Thanks! The scariest part about the budget is I changed the calculation to use the ridiculously low $100 per hour rate before posting a screen shot because I didn't want to reveal what the actual rate is. We all wish it was only $100 per hour.

@Hands On My thinking is even if no one else reads it, I at least documented it for myself to read and relive later.

Evolution of a Backpiece Koi Tattoo on Keith Alexander - - - Updated - - - I decided to document my experience in a blog: The Back Piece: An Uncomfortable Journey Can't guarantee that I'll stick to it because sometimes my low motivation for writing will result in a lot of "here is a picture. look at it!"

@Graeme found them both! thanks.
