  1. My friend's girlfriend after my last tattoo session: "So now that you have all these tattoos, how do you *really* feel about them?"
  2. Welcome @Knitrocks! @Iwar how did you find the blog? As a fellow knitter I must know!! You on ravelry @Knitrocks?
  3. The one thing I avoid is thinking about costs. I'm math handicapped anyway. Any estimate I have vis a vis cost would be way off. Haha but I DO know how many hours I've put into the big piece. I've never added up total hours of any of the other pieces but know about how long each single piece took. Again. Too much math.
  4. Neck shunga obvs. It would be an awesome and hilarious tattoo. Horiyoshi III!
  5. I don't 'track' it on purpose, but I do know how long each piece took, just because I know? I was there!
  6. @idyllsend awww. Some faith restored. - - - Updated - - - @idyllsend awww. Some faith restored.
  7. Err...be nice and treat women like human beings, regardless of what they look like, and you'll get a positive response. Hot or not. And sometimes 'not' becomes super hot when you take time to get to know 'em. -a woman
  8. Cellulitis is no joke!!! Very glad you caught it in time! I want to see pics of your arm soon, though!
  9. I'd be interested to see how much crossover there is between this book and the criminal encyclopedias. Who wrote the ones you have? The author's romanized name is Lev Mil'ianenkov (undoubtedly any of you who have turned to google since hearing the title have discovered this for yourself - stating for the record!). I found a few books that referenced this book. This is making for some interesting hunting around, that's for sure. I will post anything interesting I find.
  10. How many hours? I barely remember. I feel like 4-5 on the back and 1.5 on the arm. That was silly of me. And I was totally overwhelmed by the sights/sounds/smells of the convention. I'm looking forward (if I am in town) to all the loot! So much art! Books!!!
  11. @brunt Check out: Chris Ayalin / Liberty Tattoo (also Emily Nelson) Chris Adams / Fistful of Metal Hannah Sandstrom / Dark Age (also Derek Noble, Jesse Roberts) Thomas Graham / Supergenius Tattoo Sara Purr / Rabid Hands (also Jerad Shealey) I feel like there are quite a few "alsos" that I've missed, but bottom line is you can get a solid tattoo in Seattle.
  12. I believe we are scheduling my back with Shad sometime near the convention so I can go!!! I hope to be there again this year! But I don't know if I want to get tattooed at the convention. That was rough. Too much in one day. But if I'm in town I will surely be there.
  13. Hi guys! There is a quirky little antique book store near me that is open like twice every 5 years, and today happened to be one of those days! I walked in too see if they had any tattoo books and walked out with this cool book I am about to post pics of here!! It's all in Russian. If anyone has any info about this book, or speaks and reads Russian, please let me know!! The barbed wire on the cover evokes a prison yard; perhaps it's about prison tattoos? I asked the bookseller and he said no, just tattoos, but he doesn't speak Russian either. :p Here are some pics I snapped! I will snap or scan more if there's interest. Also: I no can without womans.

  18. @Izcariel the face I made when I clicked on the link....owwww! I feel like when that starts hurting...ow.
  19. @Graeme does that make is butt snake buddies for life now? BTW there is a #buttsnake tag on Instagram and so far as I saw, there was only one actual butt with a snake on it (MINE), which has to make you think....who else is tagging *anything* butt snake...and why?! Also, about the butt.....OWWWW am I right?
  20. It looks great @Eilin! I bet you're glad to have knocked that one out! What's next for you?
  21. @SeeSea thanks so much! Sleeping was difficult, I was under attack from Mosquitos most nights, super unpleasant combined w tattoos and that I was sleeping on a couch! Sooo apparently I'm just a masochist. @petiloi that's incredible for your wife; congratulations and good luck to her! I have really enjoyed my time with Bill and Junii at Diamond Club as well, they are such pleasant and welcoming people. I am so stoked that Matt is in on the project now, too!!! A GEISHA SPIDER WOULD BE SO COOL BTW! I was looking at the Matt Deverson piece on the back of your calf while at the shop, truly beautiful! Very graceful in it's placement, I thought. Did you get that at the last convention? Junii, Shad, and Matt are doing my back and left leg, and I believe I'll be talking to Junii about my right arm. My right leg and front I am reserving for pieces from sooo many different artists I don't even know where to begin :p. lemme think on that and put a list together :) :) :) Definitely see you at the convention!!
