  3. Thanks for joining us at Last Sparrow Tattoo forum and kicking it off with a huge contribution on the history of tattoos and tattoo machines from The Pike. I/we look forward to more rich contributions and pictures when you get your new computer squared away. Until then.....have a good evening. Lochlan
  4. Good evening Deb and thanks for joining us. Look forward to your decades of stories from the tattooing world. How was Alaska chosen as the spot to move to and open a tattoo shop? Is there a good amount of tattoo customers up that way? I've never been to Alaska so look fwd to hear about your experience(s). Thanks again and until next time.... Lochlan
  5. Thanks for sharing the new tiger tattoos Kevin and Bunny. I love that each artist adds their own style to something as "simple" as a tiger tattoo allowing each one to stand on their own.
  6. Haha, everyone has hit on some tattoo error (things I/others have noticed and new stuff) but not the main reason I posted it........ Keep the tattoo mistakes of this "Man's Ruin" coming as this has been fun.
  7. No doubt! When are you not busy over there? The pictures i've seen of your Japan trip looks like you had a blast!?!

As for me, just doing grad school, consultations, and this new project. So keeping busy trying to keep my head above the water.

Until next time....have a good evening!

  8. xjamestravisx, thanks for being the first to respond to this posting! I know Matt Skiba has tattooed the Alkaline Trio heart logo on a few people close to him. It is amazing how many people have been inspired by the lyrical genius of many of their songs yet at the same timemany people are not too familiar with them. I personally think he is one of top twenty best lyricist music has seen for awhile. Have you ever heard the split he, Matt Skiba, did with Kevin Seconds?
  9. So as you may or may not have seen there were some request to start a new area for tattoo designs (thanks for the feedback!) so the LST Team decided to add a new tab obviously titled "Tattoo Designs" as you are here. But no one seems to be writing anything so I figured I would make an intro to our new tab and try to throw some gasoline and an M-80 on the fire to get it burning! Please do not let the title of the tab limit your writing, pictures, ideas, creative muses, etc to tattoo designs but let it be any art. What, who is your muse for a piece and how do you decide what genre/format to do it in? We see hundreds/thousands of dragons, tigers, skulls, roses, nautical, script, girls faces, daggers, yada yada art yet it continues to be done. There is nothing wrong with any of the above as I always enjoy seeing each artist or tattooers flavor added to it. For all you "foodies" out there think of the various spices or flavors chefs try over and over to make their own unique meal. Their own unique burger, grilled cheese, salad, you get the picture! Oh yeah if you have art or flash or tattoo machines or what have yous post some info with a link under the "Vendor Marketplace" as that are is pretty silent as well and we hope will generate some new business for you!! On with the bag of M-80s, lets do this......... I think the best roses are done by Tim Hendricks and would love to hear how he came to how they are now???
  10. Thanks for the link and new spot to check out next time out that way. The menu looks really good and saw they have Banyul's Vinaigrette on the first appetizer, do you get this by chance? I just had this for the first time and fell in love on a salad at Baker and Banker in San Francisco ( here's the link if anyone cares to look Baker and Banker )
  11. Good afternoon Mel and thanks for making your way here. How have you been? Who tattooed under your chin? I/we look forward to your wise ass and smore serious comments in the forum, blogs, and photo gallery of your ever growing collection of tattoos!

  13. Alright, I know a lot of people have seen these pictures but has anyone ever seen homie in real life? Anyone know his or the story in general behind it? Who's the tattooer(s)? Thanks for the tattoo detective work.
  14. Kevin, in the second picture I can tell the tattoo says "brown pride" but below that does it say "Rouge" on left arm and "Dog" on the right arm in script below? How about thouse forearm block lettered tattoos? Thanks again for sharing more tattoo pictures.

  16. I heard you were going to make your way over to the site and am happy to see you've joined us! Thanks and welcome to Last Sparrow Tattoo. Until next time... Lochlan
  17. Yep it is all you Jake! It is because of that record you recorded as a teenager with so much teenage angst and political disapproval that the government now has you on a list!!! For reals though, I fly regularly and would say I have very little trouble with the airports or staff but more with the fellow travelers due to my tattoos. Unless I fly out of San Diego! San Diego is my all time most aggravating airport!! If I have my way it is fly into San Diego and fly out of HelLA if I have to go down that way which thank god is only a few times a year. I know my fair share of flight attendants and they say SD is known as one of the worst in the airport/airline industry. Is this because they are a major military city and so they are extra cautious? Just a potential thought from the other side?? The last I heard it is also up to the individual airport staff to set their security measures sensitivity and is not regulated by the government. Mario, that is odd they didn't make you check in your equipment??? I know when I traveled for skateboarding and always had a skateboard with me everywhere I traveled I had all sorts of difficulties so would think tattoo equipment would cause the same nonsense. Though it has been awhile since I traveled with a skateboard. Thanks everyone for weighing in on this and please keep it coming.....
  18. So when writing a tattoo post recently I had this idea to start a new game like a "Where's Waldo" type game for tattoos. So rather than trying to find a guy in a hat with glasses and stripes I thought we could post a picture of a tattoo and let everyone take a swing at what the mistake(s) of a particular tattoo are. This is not too pick on people but to remind us as customers and tattooers to double and triple check the stencil before we get tattooed because bottom line as the tattoo consumer if we give the go ahead after looking in the mirror or what have yous the tattooers tells you to do it is our, the customers, mistake. So to kick it off, here is a tattoo, "Man's Ruin", on the inside of one of my arms. It was hard to get a good picture but this should work if not let me know and I can try to get an even better picture of this tattoo mistake. Let the tattoo games begin....heckle on...
  19. Thanks for joining us at Last Sparrow Tattoo forum and I enjoyed your post on "bear", haha. I/we look fwd to your future contributions and post.

    Until then....have a good day.

  20. I love the clarification for those who don't know, haha. When someone now says bear I no longer think of the animal. Speaking of which, for those in the Bay Area isn't this weekend Folsom St. Fair?
  21. Mauro, thanks for joining us here. Would love to hear more about trying to "make it" in Brazil as a tattooer as I am completely unfamiliar with being a tattooers and/or tattoo customer down that way. Post pictures regularly so we can see the natural progression that will occur. Thanks again and until next time..... Lochlan
  22. Thanks for sharing pictures of your laser tattoo removal. Did you get laser to get that colored dragon tattoo over it more visibal or is the tattoo over the laser random?
  23. Dari, Anchor and Hope is pretty tasty and would love to have it again. Is Salt House the restaurant on San Pablo Ave by the warehouse? Tammy, there has to be many many more out there as the chefs I know are covered up in tattoos pretty well and when I go to eat I notice a lot of tattoos. Maybe we'll get some chefs on here to share their stories??? Any Last Sparrow Tattooers out there tattoo chefs? How about, with their permission of course, get pictures of them and their tattoos up here plus where they work? Or get them to join the site as it could be good for them as it seems we got some food lovers on here. Julio, I thought i've caught glimpses tattoos sneaking through the bottom of his sleeves. Have you seen he's doing Queso Fresco endorsements? Awesome! I love that cheese when making mexican food!! LSters, Anyone out there tattoo chefs? I would l think a lot of chefs have tattoos as the back of the house you get away with so much more?!?! Until next time...have a good day.
  24. Welcome to Last Sparrow Tattoo.com homie. Hope you'll enjoy your stay and maybe start a blog here as well as your other one....or just here???
