I don't think we have a thread dedicated to Ed Hardy, so let's use this one to share anything Ed related. If anyone deserves their own thread on here it's gotta be him, right?
I spent my evening rewatching some old Hardy interviews, and I even found a couple new ones (to me at least). Here's a few of them.

Hi and welcome. There's only so much we can tell you here about what you can do with that tattoo, your best bet is to find a good tattoo artist and talk to him or her about it. Where do you live so that we can suggest good people in your area?

I went to an exhibition on sailor tattoos today, where they display old pictures and flash from the Maritime Museum's collection. Thought I'd share a few pictures with you here. The quality is not great on all of them, but hope you'll like it :)

Browsing around the board just now, I was struck by how often folks asking questions about tattoos they want to get or tattoos they have gotten end up getting similar responses, as their issues often correspond to a fairly narrow set that come up again and again. I thought it could be cool to have a thread where we list our generally accepted "tattoo advice" and wisdom in one centralized location. We could point people to it when appropriate.
For example:
1. Thou shalt never haggle in a tattoo shop.
2. Thou shalt not try to force a tattooer to tattoo an exact replica of an image you've brought in. If you are going to a skilled tattooer, you will always be better off letting them turn your idea into an actual tattoo design that will work for this medium.
3. Thou shalt consult with your tattooer for questions re: design, sizing, placement, ideas, aftercare instructions and any touch-ups.
4. Thou shalt not stress about how your new tattoo looks until it is fully healed.
5. Thou shalt accept that flaking, scabbing, swelling, itching, and a whole bunch of other uncomfortable stuff is all totally normal when healing a tattoo. Thou shalt only be concerned if it doesn't get better after weeks, or if it smells or looks infected.

just a heads up you're not going to get this answered here. this forum has been set up to avoid making tattoo knowledge available to the public. maybe you'll get an answer in a PM, maybe/probably you won't...
Tattoo Newbie Guidelines
specifically:
Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't.
Do not start threads regarding closely guarded trade secrets - this will keep LST a much more welcoming place for everyone, tattooers and enthusiasts alike.

I'm not a tattooer, but I have been tattooed quite a bit. Things that I always make sure I do...Sit still as possible, go to the bathroom before the tattoo, don't chew gum (I am addicted to gum, and pop it fairly constantly), have fresh breath, don't text or check your phone (until a break), tell the artist up front how much I can spend (and actually bring that amount), tip your artist. I've brought an ipod multiple times, but I have never used it, playing with that would go along with not playing with your phone. I have brought a gift from time to time to an artist that was doing multiple sessions on me, if we talked about it (like a book, magazine, dvd, whatever), but this isn't something I have done most of the time. I'm sure there is more that tattooers want or would want, but this is what I do.

Sure. Here it is. I'm a little embarrassed to post it because I think the old tattoo looks bad underneath there, but there may not be much I can do about it.
