  2. My impulse tattoo was huge lol I went to a great artist an got "stay true" in bigswirly custom script form hip bone to hip bone across my front, with two cotton candy colored swallows , one on each hip bone, holding the ends of the letters in their beaks...its huge and goes pretty damn low...and its my fav tat on my whole body.lol if I ever have children I am screwed.
  3. One of the guys who frequents our shop got a big olschool greywash Moth on his arm..but the way its shaped, and shaded the tail of the bug, and the double wing on one side...well the wing look like two wrinkley male...you know...and the tail looks like.you know..an uncircumcised dick.lol and its ..very...very obvious.. he is not pleased - we all find it hilarious
  4. I wish something like this would work in the city I'm in..one city over and it would.but this town you get a lot of "believe" tattoos..silhouettes of birds... tazmanian devil..butterflies..not many "traditionally minded" tattoo collectors..lol - - - Updated - - - not that all flash is traditional..just that they wouldnt really get the concept..
  5. I think I just might... I have a full back piece in progress, full ribcage piece, the whole front of my hips, both feet..so im kinda running out of room:P thigh is a new frontier haha
  6. Home again home again, reflecting on my day. I have once again been blown away , and really kind of disheartened by jail tattoos.lol In the past 2 weeks I have seen several full sleeves of jail tattoos done with sewing neeldles and playstation motors, etc.. reallyyyyy ghetto setups.. What perplexes and disheartens me is that this work I'm seeing often has more attention to detail and better shading than some of the stuff ive seen out of shops as of late lol..sigh. The other half of me was awe-inspired by the artistry that can be accomplished with so little.. Grass roots stuff notmatter how you look at it. Human ingenuity.. I'm sure I will get used to seeing these things, and the contrast, but for now sometimes things still catch me off guard. As for me..recent tattoo (I'm an apprentice. Learning): Cat skull sugar skull Call me inspired.. seeing art done with that little really raises the bar for what we should be able to accomplish with fancy modern equipment, meters, inks, and training
  7. I'm thinking for my 1/4 century bday I want to get a fat "Mans ruin" piece on my thigh (ironic) of a mermaid on a rock with a ship... I have no idea who to go to get it.. really debating.. wouldnt mind making a trip out of it..not sure...
  8. again flash is a totally diff ballgame..i mean a general hourly rate sale. flash sale days, scheduled, thats just kinda cool
  9. I like the red detailing on the leaves. nice touch and it pulls your eye to the spaces that arent coverup space

  13. My mother was in the hospital high on dillota (im very sure I spelled that wrong) pain killers for a herniated disc when she first saw my tattoo..and i went with a big fat piece...not something small.lol. She thought it was moving..lol.

  17. Awesome! I did do a search before posting. This didn't come up! Oops!
  18. I love this.. Just something about it.
  19. Nice color work , great greywash. Clean tattooer man!
  20. Any coverup is going to be larger- you HAVE to give your artist freedom with that kind of thing.. but bigger can be beautiful. If they keep it feminine, maybe the size would not matter as much.
  21. I apologize if this is already a thread. We were having a discussion at the shop of what we would get on our knuckles (words symbols etc) if we had the urge/time/freedom etc. and what the best/most fitting/personal/hilarious ones would be. What are your ideas if, hypothetically there were no work-place or social repercussions to getting knuckle tattoos. What would you get? Welcoming all fresh ideas!
