  4. BY ELIZABETH LEONARD AND MIKE FLEEMAN Thursday August 18, 2011 05:55 PM EDT Kat Von D may no longer have her show, but she's back with her man. Even as TLC announced the cancellation of LA Ink, Von D and Jesse James – who hadcalled off their engagement last month – posted on Twitter separate photos of themselves locked in embraces. James went a step further and added the caption, "para siempre" – Spanish for "forever." In an interview with PEOPLE, James made it official. The engagement is back on, and Von D is once again wearing her ring. RELATED: Kat Von D's Show,LA Ink, Is Cancelled "Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," he says. "It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."
  5. My schedule is incredibly hectic between the gym and betting on whether or not he's the father on Maury, so I think I can squeeze a meet up in. ;)
  6. Everything I post, I do it for LST. I feel like I just quoted a Bryan Adams song.

  7. Work is totally overrated!
  8. Cochon was so bomb! Everything in New Orleans was. We also hit up John Besh's restaurant Domenica which was delish and Emeril's NOLA which was also very yummy. Service at both places was excellent. Love love love New Orleans and can't wait to do another food crawl there.
  9. For you Chicago locals...here are the reservations I have for my trip: David Burke (which I saw on Nick C and Mario D's lists) Paris Club The Girl and The Goat The Girl and the Goat seems to be the hot new restaurant that is impossible to get into to...have either of you guys been there and what are your thoughts?
  10. Hope they haven't yet sent out save-the-date cards! Six months after announcing their engagement, Kat von D and Jesse James have called it quits. PHOTOS: Hollywood's broken engagements Breaking the news on her Twitter page late Monday, L.A. Ink tattoo artist von D, 29, offered a short statement out of respect for her former fiance. "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that," von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) blogged. PHOTOS: Celebs' crazy tattoos Engaged since January, von D and James, 41, first stepped out as a couple in August 2010: making out at a Las Vegas museum exhibit and then holding hands in Fredericksburg, Texas. In a promo that began airing earlier this month for her TLC series, L.A. Ink, von D gushed about her then-fiance. "I feel like I'm the luckiest girl," she said in the clip. "I don't care what anybody thinks." VIDEO: Watch Kat von D and Jesse snuggle up in the show promo This would have been the second marriage for von D and the fourth marriage for James, whose exes include Karla James, porn actress Janine Lindemulder and, most famously, Sandra Bullock. James' six-year marriage to Bullock famously ended with the revelation of his affair with numerous women -- including Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, a stripper with a similar plethora of tattoos. usweekly
  11. If you're looking for a fun outdoor spot w/good food, I highly recommend Bocce Bar in Sausalito. It is a pizzeria right on the water with 2 bocce ball courts. If that wasn't enough, the exec chef is the same exec chef of Buckeye Roadhouse and Bungalow 44. Delicious sourdough pizzas, yummy meatball sliders, a kobe beef lasagna and delicious salads. I have some pics of the restaurant here Bar Bocce | Miss Babbles If you're lucky, you might get to see a lady get hit in the head with a bocce ball like my friend did. Some guys have all the luck.

If you want more detail on the food, here ya go: Portland, Oregon Part 1 | Miss Babbles Portland, OR Part Deux | Miss Babbles
  13. The AnQi Phở is no piddling bowl of broth, noodle and tendon, gulped down in some Westminster dive at 2 a.m. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) This is phở of another caliber, and at a minimum cost of $5,000 per bowl, it's definitely meant to be savored. Made with A5 Wagyu beef, white alba truffles, a foie gras broth, hand-raised bean sprouts and "noodles" created, through some sort of gastronomic wizardry, from rare blue lobster meat, it's quite likely the world's most expensive bowl of soup. This staple of Vietnamese cooking, elevated here with luxury ingredients, will be auctioned off at the Bash Benefactor Dinner on Friday. Proceeds benefit the Children's Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County as well as the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. Bidding for the bowl of soup starts at $5,000, but will only go up from there. Don't worry if you can't attend the invitation-only dinner and auction, held at Tiato, a Vietnamese café opened last summer in Santa Monica as part of the House of An, the group that owns Crustacean in Beverly Hills. The $5,000 AnQi Phở will also be featured on Crustacean's permanent menu with proceeds continuing to benefit the Children's Hospital.

  15. I didn't even realize you had written this when I recommended it. Great minds think a like! My friends and I would just sit and watch him scare people. It never gets old!
  16. You can rent a bike from Blazing Saddles on Columbus where they provide a map to bike over the bridge to Sausalito. You can the drink on the water at Horizons which has the most amazing views of SF, Angel Island and Tiburon and then ferry it back to the city. Definitely recommend getting out to Stinson Beach and/or Muir Woods and/or Mt Tam while out here. And you definitely gotta check out Bush Man at Pier 39 for laughs.
  17. This is in honor of Cinco de Mayo...it's my friend, Brian...he's a twin so that should explain it all...
  18. Monday- carne aside taco on a flor tortilla at Salsalito (very clever word play) Taco in Sausalito. This place is so bomb. Their homemade chips are in the top 3. They give you 3 delicious salsas with it. Guacamole is amazing. And the kicker...a bottle of creme on every table. Just a little slice of heaven in a squeeze bottle. Yesterday- Sol Food. Got the Carne Asada meal w/rice, pink beans and one tostone (fried plantain) and maduro (sweet plantain). Had a bite of my friends fried shrimp which I am amazed I had never had before and steak sand. Soooo BOMB!!! I could drink that hot sauce. Loch can u insert pic of hot sauce here
