  1. I was also told and have tried it,and it seems to make sense & works,I have used saniderm on 3 tattoos now,and one trick that helps IMO is to take cool showers when using the product.I know it's a bitch in winter.

All the exact reasons why ? don't know, but like I said,it makes sense.

Jess Yen originally told me to do that.

  2. Back again.

My first tattoo (and only one so far) is just a small symbol of the Gemini star sign on my ankle.

I'm not into big lavish tats; just small meaningful (to me) ones.

Come to think of it, I'm the only one in my family that has a tattoo. Even my grandparents didn't have one (that I know of).

pics of it ? and hell ! so you're the family rebel ?

  3. My experience f cops has been mixed. I grew up in one o the roughest areas in my city , the cops there have a tough job and a lot of them are good. some of them are pricks too. cops are only human. some humans are good and some are pricks , if you cant see that then you are being naive .its human nature. Im really drunk right now and I apoligise if im not making any sense.

  4. Och you are being naive. I have been stopped and searched by police for nothing and treated like shit when I was younger, power breeds corruption , people die in police custody etc. There's excellent police and shit police. they are all human and some humans will use their power to their own advantage, to bully and intimidate the vulnerble. Others will use it to help them.

I've been lucky I guess,I have never met an artist that disliked cops

  5. this last time I had it on for a little longer than two days. It's healing actually the same maybe even slightly better than 3 days. I guess it all depends..

I would be afraid to leave it on until it starts peeling.. only because when i take it off it might prematurely get stuck to some peeling/scabs that aren't ready to come out.

on my rt knee I left it on for 4 days, and it was practically healed and turned out perfect, that one is all black,IMO that makes a difference, all of my all black pieces have healed faster than the colored ones.

we are all different though,as far as our skin & healing.

  6. if you get plasma build up, you can also pop a hole in the tegaderm and use a paper towel to soak up the excess plasma and then put a small piece over the hole. the pooling is another reason why you should wait until the next day to apply the tegaderm (i learned this the hard way on my jess yen and shige pieces)

I have found that the pieces with color have more buildup than all black ones do.my Jess & Sam shaw pieces did'nt have any buildup ,but my gibson piece did it a lot.

for those 3 pieces I put the saniderm on within minutes of getting the tattoo.

  7. Not working on medical leave. I have ataxia and slurring according to my dad and I fainted at work from med effects. Starting to get depressed from not working. My boyfriend came to my defense and said I wasn't slurring. He is the only person looking out for me, and we're not sexually active.

Edit: To make matters better, I have a hematoma or solid mass in my brain. No siblings called. But I have awesome friends.

you know you have a friend ,anytime you need anything,

you know how to contact me.

  8. Wait, so if you didn't get tattoos so people would think you were tough, then... why?

LOL what ? no, I said some guys I meet seem to think that guys WITH tattoos are tough guys.

I have found over the years that bonehead macho asshole guys seem to think that because I have tattoos that I am good at & like to get in physical confrontations, well,I hate getting in physical fights & I really suck at it anyway,I'm a peace loving man, not a fighter, but because I have tattoos some idiots seems to think I'm a tough guy boxer MMA fighter. LOL
  9. Things people say to us about our tattoos have been mentioned in many threads, but I thought it might be fun to read quick snippets of what people say all in one place. We were just on a 2 week trip visiting family in MA & CT. We swung by Custom Cobra while in MA, nice shop but we didn't get any tattoos. Here are a couple one liners from the trip:

MIL to hubby, "You're thinking of getting another one?"

That struck me as funny because of the word one.

FIL to hubby during same conversation, "You know what they say...sometimes less is more!"

My friend's little 5-year-old son saw my arm and was impressed with the tiger (his favorite animal) but still said, "You're gonna be sorry." My friend told me he got that from his uncle. I set him straight.

Friend of my husband's family saw my sleeve and asked, "Is that a real tattoo?"

None of the comments were mean-spirited and I'm not easily offended, they were just kind of funny to me.
