  1. So June didn't exactly break the record for most contestants, but man oh man, those who submitted had some killer lookin' tattoos! However, @ThatGuy stole the victory with this utterly stunning back piece by Valerie Vargas of Frith Street Tattoo in London. Congrats!!! Please PM @steve1461686340 with your shirt info (size and male or female) along with your address. New contest will be up shortly!
  2. Welcome!! You must have a spectacular collection of tattoos. All of those mentioned are among my favorite tattooers. Would love to see some pictures!
  3. @taaarro Whaaat?? That's insane. So stoked for you!! Please keep us posted (and take lots of pictures!!)
  4. My back piece is eventually gonna be a collaboration of four tattooers. Grime is doing the main image on my back, I'll have the back of my thighs done by two different tattooers (not sure who yet, but I have a shortlist) and Marius Meyer will eventually wrap it up with background. Grime didn't seem to mind one bit. If I were you I think I'd just mention that you're playing around with the idea of a her filling out the open space between his tattoos. You can probably tell from his reaction if he's into it or not. And yeah, @ironchef really takes the cake as far as collabs go!
  5. Super duper cool @polliwog! An hour and a half? haha....
  6. Who's tattooing you @nomadland?

    Hello

    Welcome to LST Daniel!
  8. They are so visually striking @rozone. You wear them well.
  9. Incredible start @mmikaoj! Can't wait to see more progress on that thing. Is the plan to have both of them working on it simultaneously in the coming sessions?
  10. @Graeme Thanks buddy! Chad's awesome (and super fast, which is really nice when you're having a tough spot done) What are you thinking of getting, and who do you have in mind to do it?
  11. Finally got around to finishing my knee with Koeplinger. It sucked, so I'm kinda dreading the other one. If I were you I'd wait @Graeme. Walking a lot can be a challenge, at least the first couple days after.
  12. You're a badass for sitting through that beast of a backpiece @semele! Turned out absolutely amazing... Wow!! Stoked for you.
  13. Log cabins! Usually with smoke pouring out the chimney, mountains & pine trees for background and maybe a couple birds chirping around. First couple I saw I thought to myself "hmm, that's kinda neat", but when they started popping up in my instagram feed on the daily they got old real fast. At least for me.

  15. Outstanding submissions this month!! Just wow....
  16. Sounds gnarly Mick. Do I dare ask what happened? Something involving a crocodile I presume?
  17. Hello and welcome to LST! Pfff.... Your English is great, and you know it! ;) First off I would advise you to poke around this site for a while. Check out the gallery section, watch a couple interviews, work your way through a chunk of the http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/15-latest-tattoo-lowdown.html thread and get inspired! I'm sure you'll eventually find something that strikes you. When you stumble across a tattoo that you like, then look up the person who did it. Chances are you'll like more of that person's work as well. Finding the right tattooer is just as important, if not more so, than picking the right design. If you tell us where you live I'm sure the community here will be more than happy to suggest some great tattooers in your area. In my humble opinion there's also no need to force a meaning/story/"reflection of one's personality"-type deal into a tattoo design. A lot of first timers may feel a little anxious because of the permanence aspect of getting tattooed, and they think that linking it with some personal meaning will help take some of that pressure of (at least that was the case for me back in the day. Lots of thought went into the design, none in the execution). If the idea works, then great, but if not there's no shame in getting a tattoo simply because you like tattoos. I suspect that a zipper design or a lightsaber might get old real fast, but who knows? Maybe if the right person did it, I'd have to swallow those words. I have definitely seen a lot of cool Star Wars tattoos over the years. This awesome Seth Wood piece suddenly sprung to mind: But anyways, I really hope you post it up once you get it done. If I were you I'd keep that scar, and just surround it with good tattoos. This is of course unless it holds some kind of negative association for you. And remember, the internet is great and all, but nothing can ever replace or equate to a good old-fashioned consultation :) Good luck! Is this where I'm supposed to write "or just get a crawling panther...."?
