    This thread is for those who want to share a little bit of their personal information with the rest of us. Most of you I only know by username and avatar, but because of our mutual passion for good tattoos I have grown curios to get to know you a little better. Internet forums are most often overcrowded with people saying all kinds of shit they don't dare utter in real life, but this place is different, and to me really precious. It's the only forum I even bother to be a member of. Anyways, my name is Ivar, I'm 29 years of age, and Oslo is the city I call home. I grew up on the country side in Telemark, but moved here in 1999. I work for a wholesalesbusiness that imports musical instruments and distributes them to all the music shops around in Norway. In my spare time I play guitar in one band and drums in another. My passion for tattoos and tattoo art started around 06 when I decided I wanted a halfsleeve. Luckily I went to a good shop at that time, which was pure coincidence since I didn't know jack shit at that point. I played in a hardcore band at the time, and I wanted to look the part and be cool. Its really fucking embarassing, but that's how it started... This is me... If anyone wants to add me on facebook send me a pm. I know this is not for everyone, but I thought I'd give it a go anyways :)

    San Francisco er ikke før i slutten av september, men jeg gleder meg som en liten drittunge. Har jo fått masse gode tips om ting å finne på fra folk på forumet her, også av deg, så dagene kommer nok til å suse fort forbi.

    My torso is done and done :) Finished picture has been in my gallery for a while now. I know Valerie posted this in her gallery, but in case someone might have overlooked it you can check it out here: Valerie was going to do a guestpot at a local shop here in Oslo, but had to cancell in the last minute. She offered me to get the tattoo done at Frith street instead, so I jumped at the opportunity and flew back and forth in less than 30 hours. It was a blast! :)

    You got tattooed for nine hours straight in your dining room by someone who doesn't work out of a shop? You should have read some threads and watched some interviews here before posting... But by all means, since you ask, bring on the pictures. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious to see this.

    I'm probably never getting my face, neck, head, soles of feet or inside of lip tattooed. I'm partially open to hands/palms, but only if I get to the point where I don't have any space left and I'm not putting my income/work in jeopardy. It's not likely to happen anytime soon, if at all. Oh, and I'll probably never get my armpits done either.

    Hey! Thanks for adding me to your friends list :) I asked Chris if there would be a dvd release of the Tattoo age series, and he said it would be available after the last episode airs in November.

    I also experience this. When you click on a profile and click on a picture from their gallery, then click next picture a few times and you're suddenly flicking through other pictures from other galleries. I liked the "Personal" galleries before the update a lot better. It's also a bit frustrating that the pictures are named whatever the picture upload file was named instead of the description set by the the user uploading the it.

    So far I've only travelled to London twice to get tattooed (the most recent trip was back and forth in less than 36 hours), but now my trip to SF is less than three months away and I'm so fucking stoked it's ridiculous. It will be expensive as hell, and all my money besides rent, bills and food has gone towards this trip, but I can't think of anything I'd like to do more. Exploring a new city in a foreign country, getting tattooed by incredible artists, meeting new people, thinking about your collegues working their asses of back home while drinking an ice cold beer in the sun... I for one can't think of a better way to spend my vacation, and I will most likely try to do something similar next year.

    I think you should keep it and focus on your next tattoo instead. I have a few "mistakes" myself that I'd like to cover up in time, but those are just plain awful tattoos, craftmanship wise. Yours is not! But if keeping it is not an option I think you should go back to Eli and ask him for advice.

    I got tattooed by Dalmiro at the Oslo convention a couple years back. Awesome tattooer and super nice guy. If you’re in the area and able to get an appointment you should! There's a picture of the piece I got from him in my gallery if anyone's curious.
