  1. Dosn't suprise me. Still a good tale though.
  2. I love this story. A 50- something year old white woman arrived at her seat on a crowded flight and immediately didn't want the seat. The seat was next to a black man. Disgusted, the woman immediately summoned the flight attendant and demanded a new seat. The woman said "I cannot sit here next to this black man." The fight attendant said "Let me see if I can find another seat." After checking, the flight attendant returned and stated "Ma'am, there are no more seats in economy, but I will check with the captain and see if there is something in first class." About 10 minutes went by and the flight attendant returned and stated "The captain has confirmed that there are no more seats in economy, but there is one in first class. It is our company policy to never move a person from economy to first class, but being that it would be some sort of scandal to force a person to sit next to an UNPLEASANT person, the captain agreed to make the switch to first class." Before the woman could say anything, the attendant gestured to the black man and said, "Therefore sir, if you would so kindly retrieve your personal items, we would like to move you to the comfort of first class as the captain doesn't want you to sit next to an unpleasant person." Passengers in the seats nearby began to applause while some gave a standing ovation

  4. Had some of this on the train yesterday. Irish Stout, brewed by non other than the Carlow Brewing Co. Very good it was too.

  7. A bit more on my ribs. Tattooed by @Stewart Robson at Frith Street Tattoos. One more session to go.
  8. Thats pretty amazing. Just the job to protect you from "hugger muggers"
  9. I can speak from personal experience on this subject. Over the years my weight ballooned to 17stone (238 lb.). I'm around 5ft 6". Didn't stop me getting tattooed in fact it made me feel different about my body. I was transformed from a fat bastard with a couple of tattoos to a fat bastard with a lot of nice tattoos. Great. However due to my size I did feel that getting a nice tattoo on my ribs was out of the question. The change in my attitude towards my body has made me think more about the obvious health issues and after spending so much time under the needle I thought it would be a bit of a pisser to bow out early. So I lost around 56lbs and I got my rib tattoo. I've still got a little way to go and carrying all that excess weight has left me with a bad back, knees, type 2 diabetes and stretch marks (those areas I wouldn't get tattooed although I do know a tattooer who enjoys whip-shading stretch marks as he has a sticker by his work station stating so). My only advise would be to choose a good tattooer, take advantage what you've got and get something a decent size. As for what other people think, fuck em.
  10. @embers I've had it happen to me a few times, around the top of my shoulders near the neck area. With me being an old git I am more susceptible to blow outs in those area as my old skin is getting a bit thin. Some of the photos do seem quite close up. I think most of us scrutinise our own tattoos with a fine tooth comb and pick out the tiniest imperfections. The trouble is when we spot little bits that aren't perfect the eye seems to zoom in on those parts (it does with me anyway). I freaked out a bit when it happened to me the first time but I've accepted that it happens sometimes. Anyway try not to worry about it too much, over time those bits should fade a bit anyway.
  11. BBC News - Batman US cinema shooting: 12 dead in Colorado Shit this is just terrible.
  12. Saw Bon Scott and AC/DC live in Oxford in 1976. Bon hurt himself when he fell off the stage. He carried on the last couple of numbers sitting on a chair. Great band!
  13. I'm sure it will. I kept the wrapping on overnight on a lower leg tattoo with a lot of solid colour. Even with the wrapping I ended up with blood and ink all over the sheets. Gave it a thorough wash in the morning. Got all the gunk and crap off and it healed just fine. As far as re-wrapping a tattoo, personally I wouldn't risk it. Having said that, tattoos can be healed this way but it is a laborious process and the procedure for washing, drying and re-wrapping has to be meticulous (I believe burns are healed this way).
  14. @aleksksks What did your tattooer tell you about aftercare? Did he/she tell you to leave the wrapping on overnight or remove the wrapping when you get home and wash the tattoo etc?
  15. Franz turns out some really nice work. He guested at a studio in my home town earlier this year. I missed out this time but if he ever returns! - - - Updated - - - That is so good! - - - Updated - - - Tattooed by Steve Boltz at Frith Street Tattoos. What a fuckin great weekend.
  16. If that were me I would have just showed her my.
  17. Yep I'm there on the Saturday. My other half @Jade1959 is getting tattooed on Saturday & Sunday. She just contacted both tattooers direct via email.
  18. Got tattooed today by Doc Price in Plymouth, UK. Doc has been tattooing for over 50 years. A truly lovely man. It was a real privilege to listen to Doc telling some tales about his time as a tattooer. There can’t be many places where you can get a tattoo while sitting only three feet away from an original Paul Rogers Tattoo machine displayed on the wall.
  19. Mine arrived today didn't get a print but thats ok. Just thumbed through the book it's fantastic. I want all these tattoos! Edit I was about to throw the box away and I checked inside just in case anything with my details and the print was in with the book.
  20. I've just sent an email demanding that they remove a couple of my images. What a bunch of scumbags. Who are these artists they referer to on the site that links to Tattoo Donkey-Tattoo Me Now (Sheryl Unwin, Erick Legoretta and Alejandro "Al" Alvarez? There's also a tattooer called Biro from Forever Art Tattoo Studio, Australia, who gets a mention on the Tattoo Me Now site.
  21. I heard a tattooer telling a story about some guy that got pretty drunk after he had his tattoo. When he got home he put a nice layer of hair removing cream on the tattoo instead of moisturiser. I seem to remember another one about someone, who after having their feet tattooed, went home and soaked both feet in warm salted water for several hours.
