  1. I started learning like when I was in kindergarten... Dad needed someone to play with during the weekdays when he couldn't go to the casino.. Leaned 5 card and 7 card draw first, then Texas Hold'em later on when my dad started playing it... Now I don't even touch a deck unless it's too play go fish.

  2. I hope that this doesn't go on for to much longer. If this is your first forum you have joined then here are a few tips.

Look at how many posts a thread has, how many pages it has... If it's at the very top of a section then it's a new thread or one that gets posts on regularly. When you ask a question and your not happy with with the answer don't make a new thread, it will just lead to this. you could even lurk around for a bit and see how things work, where they go...

And most of all don't argue on the internet, it is pointless, and will only end with less people joining in on the discussions.

  3. after heal I have been using lightly scented eucurin. I didnt realize it was scented(i know i know), big enough deal I should switch?

Are you getting any irritation while using it? If no and it's healing fine go ahead. Unless you do want to change.

  4. Had the chance to go to the convention they have here in Tokyo last year.... was disappointed with it, really no opportunity to get tattooed by anyone. The tattooers that were there were only doing large pieces to show case their work. I wanted to enjoy it but I just couldn't, a very strange vibe going on. Everybody staying in their click that the politics of Japanese tattooing says to stay with.

I wish tattoo summit was still going on!

  5. I wish that I could be closer to Chicago then I am, then I could go there to get a walk

I want to make it real clear that the six month wait WAS NOT at Chicago Tattoo! The artist in question had been working there when he did my piece, but then moved-on and became all popular and hip and so-forth.

Anyhow, for a typical waiting time at Chicago Tattoo, I e-mailed Nick Colella there this morning, and have appointments for my Lady and myself this Wednesday evening. Guess I can wait a day!

  6. You're kinda right. We cover some of this kind of thing with EMT training. Basically your body is reacting as if you have an infection. White blood cells primarily try to kill infections in the lymph nodes due to the amount of proteins, antigens, and other things that come in handy. It's just like if you have a sinus infection and the glands in your throat swell. Some people it will be the lymph nodes closest to the tattooed area, other's it can be random. Most people don't have this reaction. Most bodies will just kick in with the reaction to try and blocking your pain receptors mostly by burning up your sugar supply. When this happens of course your blood sugar level goes down, and if you've been around a shop long enough or a convention, you see people pass out. Signs of your sugar being too low can include feeling shakey, sweaty, feeling hot, nausea or vomiting, "knot in your throat", dry mouth, and vision problems. I always take a big coke and a bag of candy when I get work done.

Here is what JoKno had to say about it. It was about lymph nodes swelling after getting a tattoo.

  7. Tend to agree, though I still think about whoever posted something on here about a biopsy where a "tattooed person's" lympnodes had turned blue from the ink. Nobody's dying from tattoos obviously, I just wondered if there was anyone else who'd had a similar thought.

Yeah we talked about this before, ill see if i can find it whrn i get home

  8. I've thought about this too and im sure its just you not taking care of yourself. Im also behind a bar 6 days a week for at least 13 hours and doing weekly sessions. For the most part I feel fine, but when I start feeling weak its always after not taking care of myself.... drinking to much, eating junk, and smoking to much. My body fights off colds pretty good, so I dont feel down for to long.
