I think it looks cool! Don't overthink it. We tend to get regret feelings after a tattoo sometimes because it's going to stay there forever and that is VERY scary. Just don't worry and remember why you decided to get it😄
First tattoo I was 15 and a friend made an anarchy symbol on my arm with a homemade machine in Lafayette IN

My thighs will form welts as soon as a line is drawn...like you can watch it raise up and it's really creepy. No bleeding though. A little Bactine helps with the swelling.
It can be a little painful for me, but no artist I've used has decided to stop early because of it.
But again, no excessive bleeding, so YMMV.
Yeah, my Dad has never commented on my ink, but I've no doubt it disturbs him. My Baptist raised Mom cried back in 1974 when I got my first small one. She died before I really started getting covered.

Reminds me of a time when my brother, his daughter and my father were in the living room and my brother said, "Show my daughter your back." I said I didn't think she wanted to see it, but she did so I whipped off my shirt and showed her my back piece (in my avatar). My father looked like a deer in headlight, like "this does not compute." He never said a word. I may have fried his brain.
