Brian Bruno & Mike Rennie Tattoo Artist Interview Video

Scott Sylvia

I first met Mike Rennie when he moved to Jacksonville, Florida to work at Inksmith and Rogers. We then became quick friends over late night drinks and riding in the midnight toucher. A short time later he moved back to Richmond, Virginia to start work at Absolute Art.
Through Mike, I met and became friends with Brian Bruno; a tattooer at Absolute Art.

These two guys are a couple of my favorite tattooers. They may have their own styles, but one thing remains the same; and that is their passion for this industry. When I am around these two watching them tattoo or listening to them discuss the history of it, it makes me excited about tattooing all over again. Hopefully this interview will give you some insight on their personalities and also how amazing their shop is. One thing is for sure, and that is, no matter how many times you come and go from their shop, you will always find something new and interesting on the walls.

Nice. I'm excited to watch this. Brian Bruno has been on my short list for years (not that Rennie's stuff isn't awesome). Thinking about another RVA trip this summer for something, even if it's a quick walk in.

I think that everything is cool and correctly said, just one more important point, everyone has different fantasies and ideas.  And only a good specialist can give useful advice!  Some people want a kingpin tattoo supply for themselves, but at the same time they do not understand and do not know some of the nuances.  I believe that a good specialist is the one who can give advice and recommendations to the client.  Then you will definitely be satisfied with the result.
