  1. The thing about Mark Wahlberg getting lasered because he was 'concerned about the message he was giving his kids' is old news. I'd never really seen his tattoos before, but clearly that message he was avoiding giving his kids was "Dad makes horrible tattoo choices":
  2. More of a curiosity thing. Thomas Hooper was here last year and fully booked; just wondered how people manage to set something up like that if they only post the artist list a month before.
  3. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that there are probably a BUNCH on here party photos
  4. Limited Edition silk screen shirts for sale- get yours while they last! FallingApartArt Limited edition shirts Also available on white and ice gray ring spun shirts Also available on black and white ring spun shirts
  5. My first idea for a tattoo (at 17) was a tribal scorpion with my birthday worked into it. Needless to say, I'm glad I chose to wait, but I'm still interested in seeing good traditional scorpions, spiders, flies, centipedes, wasps, etc.
  6. I noticed the new poster was up- Star of Texas Tattoo Art Revival Any info on artists/people planning on being there? I know it's early and all = )
  7. I'm a rather friendly guy in general, but is there any special function to adding friends under your profile?
  8. I was in London two years ago and feel like I missed out on great opportunity to get tattooed = / Also, big ups to Valerie for the "Drive" soundtrack usage = ) Great video!
  9. If they put Ellen Paige, Michael Cera, Robert Pattinson, and that mouth breather Kristen Stewart in the 3rd Human Centipede, I'd watch it.
  10. the "Grime" board is a take on the classic Hosoi hammerhead deck. Grime and Norm started as graffiti artists and a lot of non-tattoo people know them from that work alone. Graffiti pieces are about getting your name up and if someone was going for that style in a tattoo, it makes total sense to me.
  11. From the article Executive pay Executive pay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "The typical salary in the top of the list is $1 million - $3 million.[4] The typical top cash bonus is $10 million - $15 million.[5] The highest stock bonus is $20 million.[6] The highest option exercise have been in the range of $100 million - $200 million.[7]" Now I'd like you to explain how that amount ISN'T arbitrary and unrealistic. Also, $20 an hour works out to about $32k after taxes-not sure how that's an unrealistic number. The bottom line is the guys CAN'T do these jobs themselves-they're MBAs at the most and they're expertise lies in numbers and paperwork and even that is delegated to someone else. You honestly think the CEO of Coke knows how to make a batch or the CEO of Toyota could put a car together?

  14. 1) A better educated populace benefits everyone. We are also already paying for colleges, as state university are tax funded. 2) Due to inflation and buying power, minimum wage is actually lower value-wise than it was in 1971. The argument is a $20 minimum wage would force business owners to raise prices; the problem is that price increase is to maintain their record profits every year. Case in point, gas prices and bank fees-it's not an issue of physical shortage, it's CEOs manipulating prices to maintain profit margins. I understand that in our current economic situation, there is no such thing as 'ethics' when it comes to making money, but these guys shouldn't be surprised that at some point, the people are going to push back.
  15. Yeah, I imagine if he'd been there awhile (and isn't a plant from that website), he'd have had time to do some research on why he was there in the first place and delivered the falcon punch question to the British "reporter". Jello has been and will always be, one of my great heroes. My friend had "No More Cocoons" on vinyl in '87 and we listened to it non-stop = )
  16. This gem is making the rounds right now: So a British guy, who's country rioted because of a tuition hike that raised the cost to $14.5k a year (about one semester here in the US at a state school) is asking this question Students riot as Britain hikes tuition Man, I would've loved to ask that "reporter" how much HE paid for his nationally subsidized education >= /
  17. I was hoping Sarah McLachlan was going to pop-up at the end of that video, holding a Juggalo "Call or join online right now and you'll be set-up with a subscription to Tattoo Age on VBS and a link to Last Sparrow Tattoo Forum. Right now, there's a tattoo artist who's willing to help-your call says "I'm finally ready to pay for a decent tattoo""
  18. Roses, skulls, weapons(not guns, although Duncan X has some nice pistols), religious imagery(eastern/western), lady heads/busts, eagles, crests, secret society symbols, battles All of the above done with tons of black and well chosen color (ie. not bright neon for the sake of bright neon)
  19. Lochlan, it reminds me of the Tattoo School Debacle a few months ago and the huge outpouring of vitriol toward something that people felt strongly about. Tattoo Age on VBS meets the needs of most people as far as giving great, honest,non-sensational coverage of tattooing, but the amount of support is nowhere near the Tattoo School bashing as far as participation. I think that goes back to Jaycel's point about the internet's terms of interaction.
