  1. Hi guys. I haven't posted anything in ages, but that doesn't mean I don't stop by regularly and check out whats new. The past year was kind of a rough one for me health-wise, but I'm cautiously optimistic that things are looking up. I only got one tattoo in 2014 but that's okay, as it was the last big spot I had left open. I spaced out getting this tummy tickler done from May through October. Just now got around to getting a healed picture (and a shitty one at that) of it. Done by my local dude Paul Pearson at Bright Ideas in Murfreesboro TN. (P.S. Although we used a print of the original Pharaoh's Horses painting for reference my plainskin Missus prefers to call it a three headed horse with a gunshot wound).

I hope your health is improving but as always stay low go fast man

  2. @BrooklynDude spend some time looking at other styles of tattoos. When I first found LST I thought I would be relegated to some blackwork which I think can be awesome but got great advice and ended up lasering my back. Early on I thought all black and grey (which i still find very cool)but quickly saw that bold traditional or Japanese was great for longevity and really started appreciating it. Fast forward 4 1/2 yrs and I have all traditional style tattoos and I love em. I see tattoos everyday most just re affirm that I made good decisions thanks to the help here.
  3. Buyers remorse? I think it's more that in just incredibly picky and mildly OCD. I don't WANT to cover it. I got it because my husband and I were married on 4th of July. All of you saying you see nothing wrong with it is helpful, actually. I don't WANT to alter it, but it looks like a mess to me 75% of the time. The other 25% I'm okay with it. I'm trryyiing to accept it as it is. My other tattoos I never questioned once they were on me, even one where the artist admitted they screwed up and offered to redo it.

Did you atleast like Kats boobs?

  4. I just try to talk to my tattooer. Or tattooers that are working next to my tattooer. Or that tattooer's customers. If not, I just keep to my self and look tough. Keyword: look.

Still have not gone the route of headphones, and I don't think I will.

    No painkillers, au natural!

i subscribe to same plan, joke around if possible or just die silently

you one tough sun ofa beech crying drake

  5. @Scott R if he's looking for a walk-in then that or Downtown Tattoo (about 2 blocks from EL) are ok, at least for 1 or 2 artists. Also check to see if there is any availability that particular day for Dave or Hood at Uptown Tattoo (that'd be my 1st choice for a walk-in).

thanks sstu hes riding in later in week and wants a walk in something "viking"

Most of you saw this going down via Instagram but here's an AMAZING peony I got from the fantastically talented Wendy Pham aka Wenramen. This was on my inner thigh and it connected my Henning front thigh piece to my Rubendall rear back thigh backpiece. I don't know what possessed me to have my inner thigh brutalized but the results were OUTSTANDING. I'm so happy with how this turned out and Wendy is just AWESOME!!!

Jealous of all these amazing tattoos! I want to go to the best artist around but should I expect a top notch amazing artist to be willing to do a small ~an hour's worth of rework/adding to piece that is quite a bit lower than their quality? Some of the research I've done has taught me the best artists have a 3 hour or more minimum...I'm just not looking for that big of a tattoo. How does a person get a really top notch small tattoo? And now I'm looking at a rework or add on which makes it more difficult to find the right tattooer in my mind.

Richard and @Jennifer Stell are in tulsa at Pair O dice tattoo and I have seen some awesome reworks and add ons from them.
