  1. Has anyone had to drive 5 hours or so the day after getting a lower leg tattoo?
  2. who got this? Instagram Haha forget it, it was @Eilin of course, I knew it! Sorry Eilin for jumping the gun on posting this, I'm just really happy for you & your awesome tattoo and all the more psyched for mine now.............. Can you tell me approx how many hours it took?
  3. Damn @Zillah... with friends like that who needs enemies! Also @beez ewwwwww! Older hippy dude gave you castor oil and said "exotic nipple play" all in the confines of a small bathroom???! There's weird, there's freaky, and then there's just plain gross. I have lucked out and not had much unwanted attention toward me due to my tattoos. Must some combination of: I'm older now so they are just not interested, I don't tend to go to places where creeps are lurking, I am wearing a wedding ring and often have my kid or husband with me, I live in L.A. where so many of us from many walks of life have tattoos, and/or because I put up a pretty good "stay away from me" vibe when I have to.
  4. @beez you are adorable and your tattoo is great!
  5. Ah yes, then I stick to my original reply :).
  6. It'll be great! (Where on your body are you getting the tattoo?)
  7. Aw, poor mommy! Kids are so honest with what they are feeling in the moment and they don't hold back, do they? It's a good thing...but hurts sometimes! It's a good chance to ask her what's normal anyway and what's so great about it? The most normal looking mom may spend her time behind closed doors screaming her head off at her kids, who knows? It probably has more to do with change being scary. You're going to look different. My daughter kind of freaks out every time I change my hair. I told her, I've been dying my hair since I was 13, I'm not going to stop now...change is fun, you'll get used to it. And of course she always does. Then I change it again. Your daughter will get used to your new tattoo! She just needs to learn that having pictures on your skin doesn't change who you are and realizing this can help her grow up to be more open minded. Haha, I just asked my 6 yo daughter for fun, "Stella do you like tattoos?" She goes, "Nah, I don't wanna get one." I laughed and said, "But do you like them on others?" She said, "Yeah." Then she went to jump on her trampoline.
  8. Give it another week or 3. Should be fine. You probably don't need the bacitracin...
  9. Sorry you were bummed out... Hi! Your English is fine! :)
  10. Exactly, no need to apologize @Zillah ...I just posted the link 'coz I remembered us chatting about the same topic, but not to be like--you should have posted there.....those threads get buried. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. This whole thread is about this topic as well: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/3303-how-do-you-feel-about-tattoo-blogs.html
  12. The general consensus around here is that those tattoos with no black outline will not look good for long and that "bold will hold". I would keep looking. Are you in NY? There's a wealth of good artists in NYC. If you love the way that looks you could always risk it... what were you thinking of getting?
  13. Hi! Why, yes there is a ladies thread: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/5371-ladies-thread.html
  14. These are my findings: Doing what you want to is cool and never a turn-off for the right person. I surveyed 1 person for this poll. 1 out of 1 agreed. The beardo in the other room would probably agree w/me too though. So let's just say 100% of the tattooed women and bearded men in this house were on board.
  15. Seriously @Cannibal, more wolf pics!!!
  16. So hard to say goodbye @Jnvlv, sounds like she was a good friend. :(
  17. ^ aw shucks, thank you! The instagram filters help soften some of the lines...:)
  18. Same here! Back in my drinking days, I didn't care about such things, but now a comfortable bed is highly preferable to a sleeping bag on the ground. One crazy thing that happened though, is we had a mountain lion growl/roar at us on our way back to our tent from the bathroom the last night there. It was scary!!!! We grouped together with another family who were also walking back and had heard it, too. We didn't see him because it was really dark but we all heard the roar, and it sounded really close. We had seen signs around that one had been spotted by campers. Now, if I go back there, I think I will opt for a cabin instead of a tent because the cabins have bathrooms and I won't have to walk outside much after dark. - - - Updated - - - It's good to go outside your comfort zone, good for you, and I'm sure you wouldn't have gotten the part if you sounded like a wildebeest! Sounds like a big relief on the 2nd opinion, phew. My hair...this pic is from our camping trip so I'm all hippied out -- no makeup ;) (And that is, of course, my handsome @DJDeepFried grinning by my side.)
  19. Happy birthday to you, too @beez! The glampsite can be seen here: http://www.elcapitancanyon.com/ Perfect for those of us who love nature...but are not necessarily the outdoorsy type.
  20. I'm very immature. I think maybe it helps me appear younger. ;) And thank you, you are kind!!!!!
  21. Did somebody say Tomo update????!!!!!! The cats are good friends already!
  22. Got the new kitten, dyed my hair white, went glamping for 3 nights, and turned 45. Still have a couple more days left of spring break... YAY!
  23. hahaha I am on spring break now so I can't say I'm doing anything shitty...but the thread title cracked me up. :D
