    On the topic of tattooers in good bands: jondix has a doom band...........Tas is in Electric Wizard, Thomas Hooper had a pretty cool band (rainy day fuck parade). Jef Whitehead is so damn talented but from an outsider looking in he seems to be his own worst enemy.

    Im less than no one in the tattoo world and even less in the celebrity world. Yet going to saved a bunch of the past year or 2 plus and having good talks with Chris made it pretty easy to get an appointment. I did get in right before the new cut off, but still....nothing beats going to a shop and having interaction with the artists and getting along.

    Im really really really really enjoying the fuck out of the new high on fire. Been a fan of matt pike for a long time (since sleep ruined my fertile brain) and I enjoyed the last 2 high on fire albums but FUCK this one is back hard. "10 fucking skulls" or maybe 10 skulls fucked.

    3 year wait list is just a filter. I actually need to wait between appointments otherwise I cant afford it because I travel. Traveling to NYC is like having every dollar extracted out of your bank account.

    Sure...I almost posted my last set of thomas work but we are pretty close to being done and his pictures are always better and we didnt take any last time. I go back in April. I have shitty shitty camera so the pictures would suck. I plan on posting some more.

    Damn...that was actually my second tattoo (the om mani)....i got the carcass tools of the trade as my first "real" tattoo, but I already posted about that.

    Im not christian but I am strongly thinking of a rock of ages as well. I was going to go for just a slab of granite...no cross or anything just a hunk of rock. I think it would prob look a little less strange that way then if you changed up what the shape was. STILL your idea is cool and Id love to see an upside down cross rock of ages.

    Well I stick and poked a shitty rune on my arm in high school, my friend did the band "emperor" E logo on his arm, so this was the 90ds so I did the rune often seen on burzum albums. Young dumb metal head, my tattoo feel out (mostly) still it got covered up(what was left of it). Then tattoos became legal a few years later. My wife who was my girlfriend at the time went to the tattoo shop and got a baphomet from a cross eyed biker in Worcester...because i was not to be out done my my wife I went to get a OM MANI PADME HUM. Still looks nice but its become a college kid cliche I keep it because my wife got it too. Hell that time was all about LSD and spirituality so sue me.

    short list? A short list of great stuff. Regino Gonzalez is someone I really want work from before my body gets to full. I have lots of work from Hooper, and a fair amount from Ollie. Ones offs from ron wells, chad K and jondix. and then some friends tattoos most are crappy. This year the only planned new tattoos are to start my sleeve with Chris O Donnell.

    The artist Im talking about...i think is pretty "big" without being a mainstream TV tattooer. Hes never claimed to have the best lines or best anything, but he does what he does well and pushes his work all the time. As a testament to that you see people copy it all the time...often people copy it and clean up/overly perfect many aspects but in that remove all the character/soul and feeling to the tattoo. Naming names and calling things out is pointless. Recently reading the internet in regards to tattooing has really bummed me out, lots of shit talking. Too much competitive tattooing and hater bullshit. Nothing constructive whatsoever. LST is basicly the only place that I have found thats enjoyable to be a part of.

    I have tattoos with some poor lines and prob paid alot in some peoples eye, but the tattoo has power and soul and is one of my favorite tattoos ever. I dont need perfection, I just need the tattoo I want.

    Jondix is a great person, one of my favorite tattooer experiences. Best part was spending hours talking about American TV shows....hes also a big TV fan.

    I wish I learned what @jinxproof1996 just said early when I was getting heavily tattooed, I wouldn't be having him remove a bunch for better things if I did.

    Reading all this bums me out that Im not tattooed by him, I think ill have to save a spot for him and try to make it work. For my colleciton/traditional areas of my body im getting really specfic about what and who tattoos me, it would be silly not tohold out for him.
