  1. @JAllen, I'm on here a lot less too, due to my work and remodeling the house and general life business, too. I used to read every single word ever put up on this forum, but it was much smaller then. Now I might not get around to reading something until a month or so after it's posted, but I try to get there eventually. I don't think I was on much or at all during the incidents you mention. Our internet was even off for 10 days at one point last summer, it's ridiculous how far behind one can fall from something like that. I don't mean on just the forum, I mean with life's daily business and correspondence. I know it's no giant secret that the whole "instant access" has it's trappings, but it was more debilitating than I'd like. I've always enjoyed your contributions, and I remember you were trying to sell your house and move to Atlanta, right? Obviously, I'm not a tattooer. But my husband is one of the founders of this site, and his intention was never to be on the forum everyday answering questions about bubbling and bleeding outlines and whatnot. It's not that he's not interested or entertained here, he's just busy. Since we've been remodeling our house, his time online has been generally spent researching building radiant heating systems and studying siding installation instructions, or just checking the local lumberyard hours. I also see him on craigslist looking at fishing boats, small ones that won't provide shade for easily sunburned women or hold a lot of noisy children. Every minute of his non-tattooing/drawing or family time has been spent either working on the house if the sun is up, or building machines when it's down. He also made a roses line drawing book, I think the e-book version of it will be on LST any minute now. But he is at the Reno convention right now, and if there's someone he thinks need to be interviewed for LST, he'll bring it back for us. Or maybe he'll just bring back a ton of stuff from Cabella's. So I can answer the question "where did the tattooers go?" for one tattooer only, I'm pretty sure he went to work and will be back soon. Either that, or he's gone fishing.
  2. davelang, we did discuss the possibility early on, but it's not really in the spirit of what we're trying to do with LST. But you know you can PM any artist on here, right? Funny, wrote that before seeing @mario desa's post. But Mario, don't you think if it were for artists only, there would be a ton of people claiming to be tattoo artists that many of you would say that they are anything but "artists?"

    Walking Dead

Is no one else watching this season?
  4. That letter was amazing. - - - Updated - - - This thread reminds me of when I occasionally eavesdrop on my kids from the next room. Sometimes if I don't get involved in their arguments, they figure out how to work it out themselves without me running in and yelling at everyone. I'm not saying that you're like children, I'm saying that I'm so proud of how LST has grown. You guys are awesome.

I'm thinking that Daryl will have to kill Merle sometime soon. But what will Merle finally do to deserve it?

Does anyone else have Tom Waites stuck on loop in their head, too? "....He gave her a dime store watch, and a ring made from a spoon...."
  7. Realistic tattoos aren't my favorite style, so I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of that genre. I don't know anything about tattooers fighting about their tattoos being photoshopped before being posted on social media sites to gain business, but I'm not shopping online for tattooers, either. I guess this guy would consider me an old fart and a dying breed myself, I'm okay with that. But to answer the question, is it an interesting read? Not so much. Not for me. All the threads on LST have much more interesting content, IMO.
  8. One of the many things I found disturbing was how much skin he has left. She's cute, he's a dick, hope her parents have a lot of money.
  9. Hi @Eavo, I see you're new here, welcome. Here are our newbie guidelines, if you slow down your posting and do some more reading you're more likely to make friends here: Last Sparrow Tattoo - Newbie Guidelines
  10. Sorry, man, that's rough, no advice here. My ex-husband didn't like tattoos on me that much, but it's a non-issue now. Is she open minded in other ways? Shaking is an unusual reaction, that's almost like a phobia or something. Maybe you should take her to a hynotist to find out what's really wrong and help her get past it. (I know I must sound like a smart ass here, which I am indeed, but I'm also a new-age kook, and that's the angle I'm coming from right this second.) My husband outright told me that I could not get my hands tattooed, but his reason was that I have plenty of other skin left and I hadn't earned it yet.
  11. It's my understanding that the reciever of the 14 machines googled them to find out where they came from and link to LST came up, and that's how he knew who to contact. Now we're fighting crime and injustice against more than just the skin, go LST.
  12. If I drew this, I swear I would frame it. - - - Updated - - - Actually, I think this should be entered into the next contest. Despite @Pugilist's commandments, I'm bringing this image to my next appointment.
  13. My favorite name is for the paper towel that goes under the saran wrap at the very bottom of a large piece, the "gravy tray."

    Walking Dead

I didn't know it was coming, I guess I thought it'd be a four year pregnancy. I actually cried, but I think I was crying more over T-Dog. I'm sad, too, that they're won't be a T-Dog and Merle reunion. It really could've been like an intervention episode, with Daryl moderating. I'm glad we're finally getting to the survivalists and the military and the prisons. And Me'Shawn rules.
  15. Deb, sorry I didn't see you, didn't see this until now, but I did see your amazing book!
  16. Already started, most of front of shin, a bit behind knee/little calf, and tail up thiegh, working around what's there. Tim's amazing, outline all done and at least 50% of stripes filled in with black. We would've most likely done more, but as soon as he said "We can be done whenever you'd like," I was pretty much done. I try not to tap out until they do! Next app't, Nov. 15th. But just know, it's going to be so awesome, it's going to piss you off. :)

    Here i am

Hello and welcome. Lots of dumb questions have already been answered here - Newbie Guidelines Watch the videos and try not to get yourself booted off of here. We're more fun at parties than the saltwater aquarium folks.
  18. Love that man! (Jef that is, do not know this Brian Bruno.) - - - Updated - - - This forum is bad news. I should be happy with what I have in progress, and of course I am, but I'm also making two or three appointments in my mind right now. I need to be careful what I wish for these days....
  19. Welcome to LST. Just ate two pieces of licorice from Sweden in the past 10 minutes. Konfecta lonkafudge lakrits, damn that stuff is good. If you come to San Francisco, make sure to bring some. :o
  20. You could contact your favorite tattooers themselves and ask them if they have any paintings or prints for sale.
