Hogrider got a reaction from AlH in New member. Tattoo OCD?
It looks fine. OCD is a great way to make a good tattoo worse. Trust me, NOBODY is eyeing your tattoo with a microscope except you. Enjoy it and get more tattoos.

Hogrider reacted to SStu in Help choosing tattoo style please
That piece doesn't really fit into any particular style aside from neo-traditional, which is a broad term used when any artist's personal style is varied off of one or more other styles. There is a lot of Japanese in there, but the artist has taken it off into a new direction.
You're going to have to find an artist whose style you like and let them do their own interpretation.

He probably tries to sell vegeburgers at a cattle rancher’s barbecue.

Hogrider got a reaction from TattooedMumma in Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Finally finished my ribs. 3 hour session last week, I kept looking at the bottle of numbing crème, but held out. My artist offered it a couple of times, but I said I wanted to “earn” it.
I’ll post a pic when it heals.
I have two sessions left and my body suit will be complete. I’ve been chipping away at it for 12 years. I can’t believe it’s almost done.

Hogrider reacted to Dan in Tattoo gone really bad, please help!
so the first and best advice I can offer is to not go back to that tattooer,I think a better tattooer could rework that into a good tattoo, and sometimes there is scar tissue, from a bad application of the tattoo.

Hogrider got a reaction from SStu in Design ideas to fix this half sleeve
Maybe you’d have better luck finding an artist that would like to turn that into a sleeve rather than just rework it.
It’s not terrible and I think you’re right, that could be brought to life by a good artist. Where are you located?

Hogrider got a reaction from HunteR.S in Japanese font in tattoo design
The placement Looks better, but thin lines just don’t usually hold up long term.
However, it’s your tattoo and you should get what you want as long as you understand the risks.
Good luck, and please post it when it’s done!

There is no way to know how it will heal, you just have to wait. I rarely have scabs, but I had one the size of a dime on my leg and it ripped off accidentally. It healed perfectly, but did need to be touched up. It took about three months to completely heal.

Hogrider reacted to oboogie in Japanese font in tattoo design
Just a heads-up, man: It's still going to age badly. The font is too small, and it won't look clean in a couple of years. But you should get what you want ... just know that going in.

Hogrider got a reaction from GarethJ98 in Japanese font in tattoo design
I don't have any idea what font to use, but my suggestion would be to skip the font all together. Thin lines on thin skin can be prone to blowouts and you're looking at your wrist and elbow ditch - not a great place for that. If you absolutely must have the font, I'd ask your artist to find something - he's the one that will have to make it work.
