  1. Just came across this film, thanks to instagram which led me to vimeo. checked out the trailer and i'm now i'm down 12.99 and watching an awesome documentary on motorbikes. The Greasy Hands Preachers from the site: This film explores the revival of manual work through the passion of motorcycle enthusiasts who have found their way to a happy life. Shot on Super 16, Greasy Hands takes viewers all over the world, with stopovers in France, the USA, Scotland, Spain and Indonesia. The cast is a roll call of big name builders: from American-based heavyweights Roland Sands and Shinya Kimura to controversial Europeans El Solitario and Blitz Motorcycles. Available now with the following subtitles : English, French Upcoming subtitles : Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Portuguese.
  2. out of curiosity, i asked lord google to show me a map of Dark Horse Tattoo and a few other tattoo shops also popped up around it. this sparked even more curiosity, so i asked lord google to search all tattoo shops in the area and GOOD GOD THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! @embers could walk around looking at portfolios until it's time for his next appointment!
  3. i can't believe i missed this post and the earlier price. i'm hoping he brings some copies to the SOG convention so i can save on shipping... just this matter of waiting for october *impatiently drums fingers*
  4. welcome! glad you joined and shared your tattoos with us! i'm especially diggin' the oni and would be interested in seeing a healed pic of it, while you're taking shots of your others ;)
  5. that spot's not easy and it sounds like you've gained yourself a returning client! congrats and nice work! i'm glad you've joined LST and look forward to hearing about your experiences thru this journey of yours.
  6. welcome, @eprob ! i'm excited to see how your journey progresses!
  7. this thread seems like a classic case of ''It's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission." if this thread started, "hey... i'm thinking of getting my first tattoo on my neck. what do you LSTers think?" the answer would be a overwhelming and resounding "OH HELL NO!!!" for some reason, folks have seemed to go easy on the fella and i guess it's because what's done is done... and was done with a certain naivete. if you haven't caught on @<a href="http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/member.php?u=53505" target="_blank">TheAsian</a> , there are plenty of unwritten rules in the tattoo community and you just happened to break one of the big 'uns right off the bat. now that you're part of this great forum and dove neck first into the tattoo community, it might be good for you to peruse the rest of the site, read up on some neck and hand tattoo threads and watch some (or all) of the interview vids. there's plenty of information to absorb and growth and humbling to be had. we're (mostly) a nice bunch ;) and can provide guidance for how to handle this recent life change of yours and other tattoo related changes to come, if guidance is what you're looking for. as you've already found out, advice often comes whether solicited or not. don't take it the wrong way... there might be a few folks on here who are racecars in the red... https://youtu.be/QOBvGGaDnKQ?t=39s
  8. welcome, TIff! no mistakes so far! ;) if you're open to it, we all love seeing tattoo pics.
  9. Kermit thought it wasn't easy being green... this toad makes it look much LESS easy being whatever color it is... burnt umber?
  10. Welcome, Chris @FMJacket ! these two threads have plenty of great advice, wisdom, and badass pieces to get you stoked... http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-designs-books-flash/492-full-back-piece-thread.html http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/crazy-tattoo-stories/870-full-back-piece-experience-thread.html when is the first session?! we're looking forward to the progress, if you're willing to share.
  11. unless they befriend a quality tattooer! if I were mike rubendall's buddy and he wanted to tattoo me at his house, I'd be down! ;) wait til she's 40 and get a body suit from Shige's daughter. imagine the potential progression by then!

  22. I have a mix of things that are incorporated in multiple tattoos... 4 tattoos with roses 2 tattoos with an anchor 3 tattoos with an eagle 3 tattoos with a snake then a few tattoos of the same main subject... 3 skull tattoos (+1 with a skull) 2 heart tattoos 2 dagger tattoos 2 monkey tattoos I try to mix it up, but ^these^ things still happen. I kinda want more goldfish. I saw a dude at the SFO convention with legs covered in girl heads by some great artists. anyone know this guy?! I'd love to take a closer look. i'll try to dig up the pic.
