I actually ran out of space and I only have my feet and pits left and I'm saving them for robert hernandez, victor portugal and nick Baxter. I did hear from a little birdy that kore MAY do a permanent residency at a west coast shop.

Does permanent residency mean a reoccurring quest spot or a permanent move to the west coast?

I only saw what Kore posted on Facebook and Instagram.
Gotcha, I was interested in your opinion. ;)

:)...
Did you see the finished tattoo?

There is a thread in here some where in which Stewart Robinson recommended a shop in Hawaii.

@Karu ON See Of the links posted I like the stuff on Backbones site the most. I didnt care for anything on the other two sites.

That's really awesome. Hope you went big. hehe
I most certainly did.

So we have tattooers who have brought so much knowledge and insight and richness to this board talking about how they don't post much anymore because there isn't much here to interest them, and then here we get reddit's leftovers because alt models, mediocre tattoos, and BOOBS. Well done.
You make a good point, but at the same time Im not sure a throw away thread with an off topic discussion is the worse thing in the world either. We cant be serious all of the time.

she tattooed her own name on her arm. i always find that strange when people request their own name tattooed on them. i guess it's in case they forget.
That is strange unless you're in the military.

I think these are all questions that your artist could help you with. Just get some good reference material and find a good artist in the style you think you want. Then ask them. They can give you a much better idea than we can since they can evaluate your skin type and all the other things that go into making a good tattoo.

Sometimes she looks really good. Sometimes her face looks a little buttery. Overall I think she is pretty sexy.

Very nice! Can't wait to see it finished.

Welcome to LST Kahlan. Do you have any tattoos?
-
I think it's the same everywhere. I don't really like starting these threads myself but some places seem to find it rude if you don't.
I'll try not to make three posts and then disappear.
Yeah, it's a weird but helpful thing. I wish you luck in your desire to be a tattooer. Lets see some of your tattoos.

I don't mean to ignore these threads. For a while I was responding to all of them. After a while you realize that 95% of the introductions threads are posted by folks who disappear shortly there after. Some times it feels like talking to yourself.
All that being said, welcome to LST. I hope you find the forum useful and informative. I also hope you stick around for awhile.

Great news guys!

Here is the finished dragon by Kore Flatmo. We did five hours yesterday. Long day but worth it. We started the project in October and its awesome to finally see the finished product. Back in two months to start the tiger.

Oh, when you get your first tattoo you have alot of concerns like this. I draw blood for a blood portion of my day, and have seen more than one patient "jump" when I stuck the needle in. Why I am on the topic, I noticed an odd trend when it comes to the patients I see. The ones that are REALLY afraid of needles tend to have tattoos. It seems really ironic to me that they can put themselves through hours of having a needle jabbed in them while getting a tattoo, but drawing a tube of blood has them sweating. Has anyone else noticed this?
I am very afraid of needles. A tattoo doesn't feel like an injection. It's a completely different feeling.

Pain is something that has actually been a big concern to me when getting my tattoo. I'm in the process of getting my first one, and it will be a fairly large peice extening from my upper army to shoulders. I guess my biggest concern is that I'm going to somehow move and cause the artist to "screw up". How does an artist deal with that?
I was very nervous for my first time. It not nearly as bad as you are imagining. The upper arm and shoulder are a breeze. Even over the collarbone isn't too bad. Near the armpit, and nipple are the worse I've encountered so far.

I don't know anything about it at all. I'd just be bummed if I could get tattooed by him anymore. That was the selfish reason for my question.
