Talked with the artist, and he says he has no hesitation in doing this on the ribs, but to let him know if I change my mind. Currently scheduled to do this in one session (5 hours) in mid-January. A little apprehensive about the long session, but it's out-of-town so I would like to not have multiple sittings.
My hat is off to you sir.

HI! I'm with you on the beer, but I think I'm the only person alive that hates bacon.

Hi and welcome. If you are looking to be responsible and save money, you might want to leave now. There is so much great stuff posted here everyday day that it makes it hard to be a sensible person. I haven't finished my first tattoo and I'm already planning the next one.

Helo and welcome. In life we all make choices that seemed great at the time. It's just part of being human.

That's tattoos. Doesn't matter how good your tattoos are, who did them, how much you spent on them, some people are still going to see you as a lowlife because of them and that's part of the deal.
That's why I hate people. I have thought worse of folks due to their tattoos, but they were rally awful tattoos. I mean it's not like the guy had white power tattooed on his forehead.

Hmm, I am not a tattooer and have no idea, but I would assume that it might be difficult to add to the eagle to make it look like one integrated piece. Then again, I might be totally wrong. The best thing might be to add a really strong piece maybe with a overall theme to tie them to together. Like I said I have no idea just me thinking out loud.

I'm at work right now and can't watch this, but is this such a bad thing? Seems to me that if people want to tattoo they'll figure it out (maybe the proper way with an apprenticeship, maybe not) but there's no good reason to encourage people to tattoo.
I take this more as the school not viewing tattooing as a respectable profession. That's just wrong imo.

Nice stuff @metalmancpa. I'm not a new school fan but I really like your Gunnar piece.

One of the dogs used in the development of the Doberman was the Greyhound. They did this for speed.

Welcome to the forum, your art is beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Welcome Jordan. What part of Michigan are you from, and what are thinking about having tattooed?

I am super stoked that Lal Hardy is a greyhound guy, because greyhounds are the best dogs.
I respectfully disagree, Dobermen are the best dogs. :p

I may be late but I always show up... ha. like a slutty girl and her period.

My first tattoo was my chest panel, and shoulder. The next will be the other panel.

My reason for my apprehension is i worry a bit that if i got a lady head from dennis or geo' date=' it wouldnt be exactly what i wanted, because of the way they do lips and noses. But Dennis did give me a wonderful tattoo, and I am eager to go back. clean, fast tattooing with a fair price is hard to beat. I just feel apprehensive because I am his personal friend on facebook, sometimes the things he posts arent exactly the best tattoos, then he stuns with a great one. I will problably go to dennis but I posted because you guys have way more tattoos and better trained eyes to spot this kind of thing than I.[/quote']
Personally, I am really, really, picky, I wouldn't want to live with a tattoo that I wasn't 100% happy with. If I was even a little worried I think I would look around for someone I had complete confidence in. Even if I had to pay more. It's I'd forever after all.

Ok so here is the deal. I am getting tattooed within the next two weeks. Am planning on going to a shop that the man who did my ganesh tattoo opened. The thing is, I am not sure if I should go to this shop, or if i should get tattooed by anyone there. I have already been tattooed by one, and my sister by another artist in this shop, but I am still apprehensive. Here is the link to the shop:
https://www.facebook.com/LastTrainTattooStockton/photos_albums
the man who did my tattoo was dennis, and the man who did my sisters was el jerome. who would you go to to get tattooed? I was thinking one for a script name, the other for a 20's flapper lady head. I want to go with dennis but am unsure.
What is the reason for your apprehension? Are you unhappy with the first tattoo they did? I am certainly not qualified to judge the quality of someones work, but what is on the Facebook page seems to be well done. That being said if you're not comfortable maybe the best thing to do is to find another shop. The last thing I would want would be and apprehension about the work I was having done or the person doing it.

Yeah Bulldog' date=' about 2 weeks ago I went on vacation, at that point you had around 10 votes more than me, when I returned home at the end of the month I believe you had me by one or 2 votes I was shocked to have made a come back.
Stoked and thanks for the votes everyone.[/quote']
You deserve it, that's an awesome tattoo.

Am I really the only asshole who loves watching the people get shitty tattoos? I love that the judges dont say anything.
Nope, I've watched every episode. It's like a train wreck. I can't stop watching. That being said I haven't liked a single tattoo on the show. I feel really bad for the "canvases."

The one dude on that cover up show was on Ink Masters last season.
That makes sense.

Absolutley perfect man. Just beautiful! Brenda's work on your wife's leg is crazy awesome as well. I really like what Branda does.
I bet a big Foo Dog would look good on that other side.....wink wink
Yeah, I've been trying to think of something to go over there.

@Brock Varty here is what we have done so far.
Here is the tattoo Brenda started on my wife.
