It's red because it's irritated from the skin being tight around those scabs and then when you are moving the skin pulls thus causing inflammation and irritation. That combined with hair growing back will make it red. Infections aren't subtle mysteries. If you had one you'd know it. It would be more alarming, heavy greenish discharge, red streaking travelling further away from the area, it would be hot and painful. You'd most likely have a fever as well. Leave it alone and let it finish healing. The only thing I'd do other than a normal washing when bathing would be to use a tiny bit of witch hazel on a clean paper towel and dab it on the irritated areas. That, maybe once or twice a day at most. Even with that, I'd only use it for a couple of days at the most as well.

Deviod of Redemption off of their first album is one of my favorite songs over the last few years. The new album is very good. The one negative about Pallbearer is that they are very hit and miss live. I had a chance a early last year to see them live while they were headlining a tour with Fuck the Facts and Cough and they sounded really good. However, I saw them last month open for Deafheaven and they sounded absolutely atrocious.
Today is the Day released a promo for their upcoming new album yesterday. Really looking forward to it after not being impressed with the last two albums.

I live in Montreal and I see Yann Black's tattoos around a fair bit. They are 100% not my thing, but it's solid work and you can read his tattoos from across the street. Style and taste is another thing but I think for what his tattoos are they're well done.

For one, it looks like you might be putting too much aftercare on it - you don't need it this slicked up all the time. Are you soaking it or letting it get really wet for long periods of time? The lighter areas may be moist scabs and the color will settle after the skin and scabs completely go away. Tattoo Gu isn't causing this - it's fine although not a preferred method around here. On the other hand, the areas around the blue look more inflamed than around the black. Some people around here have reported a sensitivity to some blues. Maybe that is your case, or you could be looking at an infection. Send the pics to your artist and have him look at it them. If you are worried about an infection, see a doc.

I feel tattoo schools belong in the same category as fortune tellers, ghost hunters and colon cleansers. It's all a big hustle, and it's literally better to just throw your money out the window.
