  1. Primo's done a few songs for Big. But I agree, a full Biggie album with Primo on production would be insane.
  2. He's on my list of tattooers I need to get tattooed by.
  3. I've always wanted something from Rassier. I just don't know what to get. I was just gonna ask him to do something weird, but that doesn't really help matters much. - - - Updated - - - Nice! He's the one tattooer I haven't gotten a serious piece from yet. Just filler. I felt bad asking him to do filler especially since I haven't gotten a serious piece from him yet. But he was the only one with free time on that particular day. I want to get a chola lady head from him so bad.
  4. Absolute classic. - - - Updated - - - Agreed. Nas went out and got all the best producers to work on his album. At the time, that was unheard of. MC's only had one producer produce every song. Game changing stuff.
  5. Good looking out. I'm gonna check out his work. - - - Updated - - - First four or first five? I honestly didn't like ODB's first solo. I mean, Shimmy Shimmy Ya and Brooklyn Zoo are absolute classics, but two songs don't make an album. But if you're talking about Meth, Rae, GZA, and Ghost's first solo efforts, then I'm on board. I can listen to 36 Chambers all day every day. I low key want Henry Lewis to make a Wu tattoo on me, but I know one shot logos aren't really his thing. But he is a die hard Wu guy. Not into too much new Wu, so no go on the Wu Block. I was never really a Lox fan. But if you say it's good I'll check it out. - - - Updated - - - Overcast, Lucy Ford, Sevens Travels, Felt 2, You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having (I think that's what it's called) are all solid albums from Slug. Other than that, haven't heard anything new from him. I used to be really into that first Brother Ali album a long time ago. And you hit the nail on the head with main stream hip hop. Late 90's was gold on the radio. Everything was good. You definitely can't say that nowadays about the radio. - - - Updated - - - Black Moon radio on Pandora is amazing.
  6. I got tattooed by Robert Ryan when he guested at Temple. Super cool dude. Absolutely one of my most fun and memorable tattoo experiences.
  7. That Killer Mike is super solid. I got that new Big Boi for Christmas. I dig it too. Those Phantogram/Little Dragon guest spots are my personal favorites. I'm super late on this, but I'm really digging Action Bronson. "Blue Chips" has been on constant loop for days. And in other news, I need me a Wu-Tang tattoo ASAP. - - - Updated - - - I'm always looking for a tattooer into hip hop. When I was at Smith Street, they were playing Wu samples all day. Eli was the one who put me onto that Wugazi stuff. One time at Temple, they were playing NWA when I walked in. When I left by the end of the day, they were playing GZA's Liquid Swords. I was so stoked.
  8. The only blues I go through is waiting to get the next one. It's hard to get tattooed during the holidays due to spending your tattoo money on Christmas gifts..
  9. If I fly out, I wanted to get a deVita piece by Scott Harrison. If I can't get Scott to do it, then any of the other Kings Ave dudes will be fine too. Still trying to work out the logistics. It would be a great birthday gift to myself.
  10. Picked up a copy at Tattoo City over the weekend. For 50 bucks, this is an absolute steal. Of course, I'd like an OG copy of Tattoo Time, but I don't have that kinda cash flow.
  11. Agreed on both. They both have a real distinct style. They're killing every tattoo they do at the moment. Hopefully I can get tattooed by both sometime in 2013.
  12. Part 4 is my favorite episode so far. Huck Spaulding hesitant to do a large back piece... that's wild.

  14. Higgs piece from Dustin Wengreen at Temple Tattoo, Oakland CA.
  15. It's real. She was on Letterman talking about it the other night.
  16. That panda scroll is too awesome. Robert Ryan and Jonty making appearances in this was pretty awesome too.
  17. I got a consult with Stuart Cripwell coming up this weekend. I'm so undecided as to what to get!! So many possibilities!! This will be my first time at Spider Murphy's too. I'm excited.
  18. FIVE EPISODES!!? HELL YEAH. My favorite part of the first deVita episode was Scott Harrison's story about the stencil. SO GOOD.
  19. I'm gonna try to get my appointment in with Dan hopefully by January. Gotta save up some extra cash before I book that. I seriously lucked out with my Freddy appointment. I went in early June just to get on the list because I heard he was booked out till the end of the year. I pull up to Temple and there's Freddy just hanging out on the curb. He tells me he had a cancellation in July so I could take that spot. I say still keep trying to get tattooed by him. It'll be worth it. Such a great experience. So many good shops down here. The amount of talent in this area is ridiculous.
  20. I've been trying to get tattooed by Tim Hendricks for awhile now. He doesn't take bookings at his shop neither. Only email. Bummer.
