First off, I would love to see everybody sportin great tattoos wherever I go but unfortunately there are fewer people out there "keepin it real" and if I go to WalMart I can see a store full of bad tattoos these days.

Thanks S Sal,and for those who were wondering, Sal and I had been on the phones trying to figure the Paypal way and she is a wiz at that kind of puter lit and she found where the 1st Amendment folks had already thought of it and Sal got the specific's to post them here.
Carley's situation is "holding strong" this is to say that he is still on life support, his pupils are not responding to light like they would like but brain swelling has come down though and just yesterday they were able to start turning and positioning him from side to side, any progress is good at this point. His heart is strong and getting flow to the brain.
The investigation into the accident put together that Carley was at the side of the road trying to pick up a caterpillar when a texting driver at 85 mph struck him, the car was stopped by a culvert and the driver took the time to back out onto the road, exit his car and move Carley's broken up 8 year old body to the roadside............I know your thinking angry as we all would but Carley's condition is primary right now.
On another note the life flight was 16K and nobody is prepared for any of this and all of those who can or have contributed are very much appreciated and Thank You!
So there's the scoop on the latest of Carly's condition and Thanks to all who have come to be involved and those who allow for this thread on TLS, it's amazing the outpour of support from the shops. Thank you most sincerely.

First Amendment Tattoo is tattooing Eddie peace flash, 60-80 buck pieces, and 100 percent of proceeds go to the family, ain't that great!
Everybody has been calling around and we're sending funds to the shop with just "attn; Carley", they haven't asked for nuthin but we all know they can't think strait right now and work and the bills for life support and such have to be overwhelming, today we even had a roller derby team send a check for support.
I spoke with LeDan today and Carley is still on the life support but with improvement, other than that it is a waiting game.

Hey Avery, yeah Phil said allot about Tatt's but please read between the lines in the book and remember that Phil was a quirky kind of guy and Tatt's was ahead of him by a long shot, not only in the "industry" but also in the Chicago tattoo politic's of his era which made Phil put a slant and maybe a slander on Tatt's. There is a much deeper Phil/ Sam Steward/ Phil Adros to know and I hate the thought of turning this post around into a he said she said about Phil but it should be clarified that Tatt's was more of Phil's dogging competition at the time he wrote the book and Phil was looking for some payback. Phil wrote lots of stuff on many topic's and was many things in his life.
Here is a bit more into the persona of Phil in his last interview before he died, Phil was much of the "set" in the art world much further than the tattoo side. This is not to mention darker stuff like why he was "dismissed" from his position as a teacher before his venture into tattooing.
