  1. Yes, you may...I will post about me when I get a little more time. I am at work right now.
  2. I think at the root of all my reservations about the show is the time thing. I just wonder if the people getting tattooed understand that the time limit changes how well their tatoo may be done? And furthermore, don't the tattooers have a problem with that?
  3. Just a question about the people getting tattooed... How are these folks selected? Are they aware of the situation as far as the artist not being what I would consider very good? Do they pick collectors who are ignorant to good tattooing? No matter if someone is a great tattooer or not...I can't imagine anyone with a brain being down for getting tattooed under a time limit.
  4. It's a tattoo....what do people really expect? You can hope it will look perfect forever, but no matter how well it was applied or how well you care for it, it will eventually start to break down. As much as it sucks, it is just a fact.
  5. Welcom sir...hope your stay is rewarding!
  6. I didn't realize that the Analog camp was such an influence on Mutsuo. No wonder dude is so good. What Garver said about him being in the perfect place at the perfect time is so true. He learned from Garver, Chris Trevino, Adrian Lee, the other Analog guys, Grime...the list goes on.....
  7. Waiting isn't so bad I don't do it. I have been waiting since June to start work with Kore Flatmo and my first sitting isn't until the end of January. Waiting just sucks. While waiting for Kore, me and the other person that tattoos me started planning the rest of my body(left leg/torso/left arm). So the wait time is still filled with tattoo stuff.... the only problem is that no amount of tattoo related shiz is ever enough.
  8. Congrats on working with him. He got tattooed alot early on in his career by Kore Flatmo and I think he actually moved to Kentucky for a year to work and get tattooed by Kore. You can see the influence Kore had on his work. I also have the privilege of being good friends with the dude Spencer came into tattooing with. If you want some good convo, ask him about getting worked on by Kore. I am sure he will have a bunch to say! Judging by the company Mr. Briggs keeps...I would expect nothing less than the quality he puts out. Again, congrats on working with him. There are a few people doing that style work and he is very near the top of my list. I realize this thread is kinda out of nowhere....but most people don't know who Spencer is. Just getting the word out.
  9. James Spencer Briggs....that is all. http://www.jamesspencerbriggs.com/ He is kinda good....
  10. Welcome my frozen bretheren! May your travels be rewarding and your tattoos amazing!
  11. Someone get Cat a record label...
  12. Someone in a shop near me did this one recently.
  13. @Johannes I bet he charges for an apprenticship... lol
  14. Wallowing at home in my misery of no friends and no fun.
  15. I start my sessions in January or 2012...so this coming January. I get my e-mail notifications on my phone.....bad idea. Every single time my phone twitches or makes a peep I think it is PluraBella e-mailing me back. The wait is worth it though...it doesn't get any better than Kore in my opinion.
  16. I will be including all of the artwork from Kore and any photos; in-progress, during tattooing, or otherwise. And yes, I have watched that interview. It is one of the reasons I am so happy in my decision to work with Kore. He mirrors all of the traists that I respect in a human being and to be honest, I feel like he is an example of how someone should conduct themselves. I should have the preliminary study back from him in the next few weeks. Tim, my local dood, is going through how we are going to connect the back to the torso with Kore on the phone later this week. So after that, I will slowly have some updated art work to show. First sitting with Kore is in January. Tim and I are driving down to Cincci and both getting work on for two days each.
