  1. Cool beans bud :)

I never meant to be overly specific. It's cool that you've identified your interests and make responsible choices based on that.

I personally have made the choice to live a life that revolves more around the relationships I have (wife, kids, friends) rather than the things that I do. If I were younger and single I would have loved to have been able to throw myself into jiujitsu or tattoing, but I by no means regret my meager skill set and happy family :).

    Cheers bud!

    Edit---"Nazi dick march." awesome.

Props for having things you identify with and value. Most people aren't lucky enough to even know what they really care about...or should car about.

  2. I have a lovely wife that had no tattoos when we first met. She accepted me for who I am regardless of what was on my body. Now she has a few, and although I find them attractive, I could care less if she had them or not.

Judging someone without them is just as silly as judging someone with. It's cool to have your preferences, I respect that, but it limits your options and potential good times.

I purposely limit the "potential" to chicks with tattoos. I find both tattoos and not attractive, however, if I am looking for a relationship, I can't do it with someone that isn't involved in the things I am. That being...getting tattooed. I accept all people regardless of tattoos or race or color...but to be in MY life, a girl needs to be tattooed. No judging being done here...

  3. Was tossing up between a skull or a Hanya, but not sure if another face front on will work really ? Maybe at an angle ? Frustrating as I knew everything else I wanted on my back piece but now the wolf is going I can't make a decision. Was thinking a big colourful flower, so perhaps a skull and the flower !!!!

Could do a skull in aflower...or a skull with some detailed out hair and eyes or something...

  4. I've already talked to reverend and he said the same thing about everyone at the studio being first rate. It should be an amazing experience.

As for the tattoo, I'm jumping right in and starting a chest piece. One side of my chest will be a skull draped in linen with the linen blowing in the wind. The other side will be two sparrows floating on the wind. Then right in the middle of my chest, under the collar bones will be a portrait of my wife's eyes. It will be all black and gray. Kore gave me a little more detail, but I think that's the basic plan. I just can't wait to get the completed study and get it started.

    Sounds fantastic man!

  5. Just a quick introduction. I've wanted a tattoo for a long time but never knew what to get. In the last couple years I had some big changes in my life and I decided a nice big tattoo was in order. After doing hours of research I decided to try and get ahold of Kore Flatmo. I had my phone consultation with Kore and got scheduled for Aug 16 and 17. I figured if I'm going to finally do this I might as well go big and go to the best artist I can find. Needless to say, I can't wait for August.

I'm glad to be here, and have enjoyed everything so far.

Another Flatmo fellah? You will fit right in. There are 5 or 6 of us currently in progress on stuff with Kore. I can't say enough about him and everyone at PluraBella. They are all world class tattooers and even better people. I go back down for session 3 and 4 on my back/leg on May 19th. What are you having him do?

  6. You have a serious amount of world class options in the UK. What kind of tattooing do you like? There are several forum goers here who would be happy to provide firsthand reviews of artist and shops/studios in the UK.

  7. Awesome! I'll have to check 'em out! Thanks for the recommendation. Since the mid-90's I've had a hard time finding new metal that I dig. I think Killswitch was the last newer "metal-type" band I enjoyed and that was a long time ago. :)

Im not exactly sure what your taste is...but if you like a little Euro metal influence try:

    Children of Bodom

Opeth I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS ENOUGH! SOOOO GOOD

    In Flames

    Heaven Shall Burn

    Hammerfall

Cradle of Filth(maybe? people tend to love or hate them)

I'm a big fan of Scandanavian influence on metal....also, I tend to find a lot of that more complex and technically adept than the NA counterparts. Some really good metal comes out of Finland/Norway/Denmark/Sweden...the stuff I like has a more "Death Metal" vibe.

  8. Welcome dood. I might be the biggest Parkway fan in the world. Been following them since the split EP with I Killed The Prom Queen....

  9. Total "old school" thrash, speed and death metal head here.

Edit: My 3 favorite bands are: F-IN SLAYER, Pantera, Deicide.

I might be older than some of you on this thread...or maybe not, but, I can't seem to find any newer metal that touches the 80's and early 90's metal. Real metal not hair bands.

    Great thread dude.

Try out a band called Holy Grail. They are an outfit from NorCal I believe. They have a pretty cool thrash style but are newer and updated. They just released a new album.

  10. Next session done on my Dragon/Audrey Kawasaki piece. Wolf had 3 laser sessions and will be ready to cover in a couple of months. Im loving my first bit of colour in the phoenix which goes down my thigh and across my stomach. i'm thinking of a big colourful flower over the wolf what do you reckon ? Or maybe something from my left bum cheek up ? photo_706898_thumb.jpg (Didnt want to put you off your tea so airbrushed my crack)

You want a skull in that spot.

    You're welcome.

  11. Newest tattoo, as well as the second tattoo I've done on myself. Testing out the feel of my first set of machines (I had been using some of my boss'), and decided to keep it straight edge, to go with the Minor Threat coil wraps. Many thanks to Kevin Riley for making such a great set of machines.

Side note... we'll pretend that lettering is super clean. I need to work on tattooing in yoga positions for these occasions.

Those machines look solid as fuck dude.

  12. I have not read that yet nor did I know that there were journals to go with it. But I will look into this. I love anything zombies, and different takes are always very good for me.

Worth checking out. For nerd zombie genre fans its cool. And no...the World War Z movie, is not like the book. The movie blows cock.

  13. Shoot me if I don't go!!! Just heard Shige is doing the seminar this year. Hope they allow non-tattooers to register for it like Horitomo's a couple of years ago.

    This! Ten times over...

I am considering flying out to stay for a week or so and hit the convention. I have a whole lot of tattoos to pay for though...so who knows if it will happen. I have wanted some work from Jondix or Hooper on my cranium for a while now. My intent was to see if I could accomplish that at the convention.
