  1. Half hour outside of College Station.

I spent 8 (miserable) weeks in Rockdale Texas. College Station was fun when I went there though.

  3. I'm in Oregon y'all!!! :D

I left Oklahoma a week ago, made it almost to the Colorado state line and ran into some car trouble...

I ended up stranded for 4 days waiting for parts to come in, but then managed to drive 24 hours over two days and made it into Oregon late last night.

I'm so thrilled to be back this way, it's been a long 3 years in the bible belt.

    West Coast-Best Coast!!! :D

  4. For the average folk who don't have any I guess even one can toss you into that category. I know my last tattoo seems to have crossed some imaginary borders in the minds of people I know. As far as most of the people I know I am now considered 'heavily tattooed' which makes me laugh since I look at a ton of open room. Take it in stride.

getting my knees done is what put me over that line as far as I can tell.

Even people who knew ahead of time about my plans for leg tattoos seemed shocked when I got the knees done.

  5. If it were me, I might leave the words off entirely and just go with the image.

*You* know what the image represents to you. It will hold the same meaning whether the words are written on you or not.

And that way you won't have to deal with strangers inches away from your skin reading it all the time... that would freak me out.

  6. putting this here because there were all those "parent-child" tattoo days posts recently and I don't know where else this would fit.

My daughter's 18th birthday is coming up - we were having lunch the other day and I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she hemmed and hawed a little bit but eventually says "well, since you're all into tattoos, I was kinda hoping you'd pay for a tattoo for me".

    Awww! Kinda sweet right?

Honestly though, I'm a little bit on the fence about it. What she really needs is money. She's not working right now... she's flat broke and living on ramen noodles and canned green beans...

(when I asked her what she wanted I was sure "money" would be her answer)

    Hmmm...

    I'm thinking on it...

Not sure yet what I'll do.

My Sweet Pea decided to be responsible, so instead of buying her a tattoo I paid her rent for July and bought her a bunch of groceries (and a couple things to unwrap of course!!)

BUT!! Total win!! She decided that she wants to wait until she gets back to Denver to get her first tattoo so that she can have Marie Sena do it :D

    Hooray!!
