We have a locker with several 22, a 410, a 12 gauge, and a 30-06. All long guns. Although a firm 2nd amendment supporter, I don't carry. I appreciate those that do. I was never any good with a hand gun and don't trust my own judgement in a situation where one might be useful. My tattoo artist carries, and I told her on first visit that it was appreciated and helped customers feel safer (unless they are snowflakes worried about the presence of firearms).

If ever called on for national defense, I feel the old Springfield (being a retired military weapon) is best suited.

I’ve been waiting for COVID to die down, but want to get my conceal carry permit this year. Without getting into politics, the divide between the two sides and the growing extremism has me to the point where I bought a handgun after 10 years being gunless. I hope I never need it!

so I am into guns and 2nd amendment support, going to the range, getting ongoing training, etc, etc
the awesome thing is I have had my conceal carry permit for a year now,
I love carrying.

Just a portion of the awesome >35 year-old bikes on display yesterday. I believe the oldest was a 1929 Henderson.

I'm finishing up a body suit this year and at 64, I've been concerned about my skin continuing to be fit to tattoo. I took a break during COVID, so I lost two years, but I've had four appointments in the last several months. In preparation for the appointments, every day I applied cocoa butter liberally on the areas to be tattooed for a full month prior to my appointment. My last two appointments focused on the ribs and in addition to not hurting nearly as much as my previous rib tattoos, both sessions healed in record time. All of the red was gone within two days, I had very little pain and they healed very nicely. I've probably got another 6 sessions left and I'm going to continue doing this; hopefully it will help all my sessions heal quickly.
Anyway, it's not a scientific experiment, it's only one person, but I thought I'd share it. It certainly won't hurt and it might help.

It looks like a grade school artist drew it. That’s just really bad. Go online, look at some good art and see the difference.
 
If you want to learn to draw, take a class; it’s not intuitive for everyone, myself included.

I just got my tattoo 7 days ago, it's currently on my forearm and have plans on wrapping it with tattoo soon!

a spider web on an elbow is just a very cool traditional tattoo.    keep it.

I wouldn’t cover it up just because of what it stands for. I doubt many people still associate elbow tattoos with prison any more.

I have had to have my knuckle/finger tattoos touched up a couple times because of fallout, but I knew that going in, but the top of my hands have held the outlines and color pretty well.

I got my left knee done yesterday, and it is HUGELY swollen.  Absolutely brutal. I couldn’t sleep last night because it hurt so much. I’ll be glad when it starts healing. Even my elbows didn’t hurt as much as the knee.
