  1. @Lochlan Many thanks. I book nearly all as appointments. But some of my tattoos are a bit spontainious. Today for instance, as I was finishing up today I thought I would see if they have an hour slot available next week, as my wife is at Frith Street getting tattooed. Emiliano was available so I booked him for next Saturday. My tattoos on my thumbs were totally unplanned though.
  2. Rise and Shine motherfuckers. Finished about an hour ago. Tattooed by Emiliano Liberatori, Frith Street. Its on the bottom of my back.
  3. Having lived in the West Country, UK for most of my life it would have to be Bristols Les Skuse. I would have loved to have been tattooed by Les, he died in 1973 a couple of years after I got tattooed for the first time. Here is some of Les Skuses work.
  4. Great day in London today. My wife got booked in with Crispy Lennox at Black Garden & Lucy Prior at Into You for next year. I also managed to get booked in with Duncan X in March. To cap it off I hooked up with this bitch.
  5. My Brooklyn Joe Lieber piece all done and pretty well healed. Tattooed by @Valerie Vargas, Frith Street.
  6. Frith Street Family Business Always a great atmos in both. The work that comes out of both speaks for itself.
  7. Can we change Contributor to "Fat Miserable Bastard" Then my title will be the same as the one my wife, workmates and anyone else who knows me uses.
  8. I don't know if he's already had a mention. RIchie Clarke at forevertruetattoo.co.uk , in Liverpool. Looks like Richie does some very nice traditional work.
  9. I'm definately in the Dan Higgs camp on the subject of mixing different styles. As the saying goes "Suits the wearer, not the starer"
  10. @Dr Benway. I was at the poll tax demo in London in 1990 and was an active member of my local Anti Poll Tax Union. Here's a link to an article I found in the Independent. It certainly brought back some memories. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/the-battle-of-trafalgar-square-the-poll-tax-riots-revisited-1926873.html. The demonstration was very well organised with sufficient stewarding to deal with lumpens like Class War who turn up to these events just to fight with the cops. The police then changed the route a few days before the demo. What a great idea. For me the rally was just one day out of a long and succesful campaign. One of the main differences, as I see it, is that unlike the Occupy Wall Street/ Anti-Capitalist Demonstrators the Federation that led the campaign against the poll tax had a clear program, strategy and tactics.
  11. @goldocat Don't beat yourself up though, it's all part of the learning curve. Judgeing by your choice of artists I'd say you've got 99.9% of your research spot on. I must admit you've now got a really tough choice. My advise. Don't offend either book both of them. Sorted :)
  12. @goldocat If I'm at the point of booking a consultation I've already done my research and made my mind up about the tattooer. As I understand a consultation is to discuss and finalise what you are getting and when. For me what rate the tattooer is charging is not an issue as my decision will be based on the type and quality of his/her work not price. As for bonding with the tattooer it's nice if I do but it's not a deal breaker. I'm getting a tattoo, not going on a date. But hey, that's me.
  13. Getting some more work on my arm from Stewart Robson tomorrow. I thought I was going on my own but wife managed to bag a last minute cancelation appointment with Valerie Vargas. To say the missus is very excited has to be the understatement of the year.
  14. George Carlin. The seven words you can't say on television.
  15. @Gregor That sure is brutal. Did you see the picture Lucky Jerky showing the strips of skin that had been removed?
  16. Has anyone seen these on Thomas Hoopers Blog. Hoopers Electric – Meditations in Atrament Entitled Life and Death.
  17. @Scott R Here you go. Lucky Diamond Rich www.xedtattoo.com / Lucky Rich.
  18. I suppose it depends on whos available. The other factor is how much money I have. Theres not much demand for ageing overwieght rent boys in the runup to Christmas. September was good. I was tattooed 5 times that month. Mainly due to the London Tattoo Convention.
  19. Saw this ad on TV in New York about 10 years ago
  20. @Johhny I have type two diabetes and part of my daily medication is low dose aspirin. I don't take on the day of the tattoo. I figure missing it for one day isn't going to affect my health and aspirin does thin the blood. Generally speaking I don't mind the sight of blood as long as it's not mine.:D
  21. How about trading your Pitbull in for one of these MFs
  22. I had lidocaine sprayed on during the last part of my tattoo I had done a couple of weeks ago. It was very sore for a good 3/4 days afterwards but I think that had more to do with the area being tattooed (inner bicep). Healed as usual though although with a very small amount of light scabbing.

Cosmic Skull tattooed by Daniel Albrigo
  24. @slayer9019 I agree 100% about the uncomforable position being the worst thing. I had my inner bicep done recently. The worst bit was my hand and upper arm muscle going numb.
  25. I can highly recomend these. Had one of these 50 minutes before my tattoo today. Worked a treat. :)
