  1. Still continuing to fill my left leg with band "The Prodigy"' songs....

"OUT OF SPACE" and "RUN WITH THE WOLVES"... + the official Prodigy's ant logo

    - - - Updated - - -

And also started my right calf with one realistic owl....

Only session 1... I plan to add below the owl one old haunted house, graves, dark dead tree and a full lighting moon...

Can't wait for the owl is already awesome (at my point of view)

  2. Just a quick one for you Guys: I noticed a lot of comments mentioning "collect tattoo from different artists"...

I have already covered a lot of my body surface with many tattoo but they are all coming from the SAME tattoer.... So I count on you now to propose a new nick name for people who "collect" tattoo and in addition coming from the same artist ??

  3. I know perfectly this hard dilemna of B&G or colors tattoo... As I never find a solution, I just more or less divided my body in 2 parts: B&G on one half and colours on the other one... :)

Personally, even your "other work is full color" I think you should follow your first idea: "This will be the One" that I would like to translate by "If I must one day begin by a great B&G work, it will be probably this one.. and your love of this B&G tiger will offer you new future B&G project ideas ;)

In your case, I always ask my tattoer what will be the best choice from his point of view and it was always a good decision at my eyes, too.

  4. I continue my thema story on my left leg with a different tattoo for each of my favorite song from music band named "The Prodigy"...Beside the ambulance of "Take me to the hospital" here now is my voodoo doll related to song "Voodoo people" of course.

I let my tattoo artist the choice of the colours and for me the result is just AMAZING... I'd like it so much.

Tattoo done at Longwy (FRANCE) by Fabien Lejeune (Rapid needle Movement)

  5. Don't worry I would say... I have already taken 2 tattoo sessions, separated by 7 days only (different areas location). I saw no big difference with enduring the pain. As Dave mention, it's of course better to have some rest during the meaning time between the 2 sessions.

  6. I'm going into your direction when you said elbow ditch (inside area) is one of the worst place to heal.

As you mentionned, as we are all moving and turning around during nights, it's quite difficult to have a perfect result.. the scabs always re-opened and it's was nightmare... I'm happy my both ditch are done. Knowing this, I don't plan to tattoo absolutely the back of my knee.

Another interesting and funny thing I read was:" this color or this color was more difficult to heal on my skin...". I should admit it's right: I had a lot of trouble with yellow on my side... Red was always perfect but yellow in my frangipani flowers was like a continuous war between my patience and this tattoo.

  7. Cool idea I to have a prodigy tattoo just the worker ant they use to use but I love it

ha ha good stuff... I have also the ant tattoed beside my ankle... I didn't include it into my gallery as the tattoo is 17 years old and I need to refresh it... this ant tattoo made 17 years ago is the trigger point of my future tattoo projects on the left leg.

Prodigy is playing on concert in my neighbourhood in August so I have already my ticket :p

  8. I'm working in Finance in an open space office with 4 other colleagues and 2-3 years ago I was the first to ask for permission to listen to Ipods. For me, music is more important than everything.. ask me which one of my 5 senses I want to eliminate and will certainly tell you that hearing will be the last.. Usually, in order to listen when my colleagues are calling me, I put only one earphone... better also to hear the phone ringing ;)

I have special music tastes: I'd love Hardstyle (kind of electronic hardcore music with huge BPM and heavy bass) but not sure this music style is known on your side of ocean... Most of best artists are dutch, belgian or italian...

More popular, I'm fond of Limp Bizkit (who will play in my neighbourhood the 8th June) and Theprodigy of course (who will play also this summer 22th Aug in France)... Already 2 planned great concerts dates.

  9. One ambulance made last week by Fabien Lejeune (Rapid needle movement) at Longwy (France).

This is the first tattoo of my left leg (area under the knee level only) where I intend to make 5-6 tattoo, all in relation with music songs or video clips from UK band named "TheProdigy".

The ambulance is referring to "Take me to the hospital". I intend to also tattoo the song name beside.

I choose an US model of ambulance because your vehicule are really rock !!!! No comparison with our belgian ambulance which has "no style"

    .

Who's the artists that does your work.

I have this particularity that ONLY one tattooer has worked on my body till today...

Since the first tattoo appointment, the connection was there... and i was feeling really great discussing with him about many topics of day to day life.. Trust came also very fast which allowed me to let some projects under his hands and result was always perfect at my eyes... So not sure I will think about one day to go through the hands of another tattoo artist.. let's say it's a kind of love story ;)

I don't know if this was already a topic of a thread.. but I assume we should be a small number who made all their tattoo's by the same tattoo artist.. correct me if I'm wrong

  11. Hi Joe,

Although Luxembourg is really a small country, I didn't know Dan Sinnes but I checked your attached link and really enjoyed it.

The decoration of Electr Avenue seems to be fucking crazy and Dan has a nice stache ;)

This tattooer seems to have a nice universe...

In first weekend of May, there is a local tattoo convention which will welcome tattoo artists mainly from Belgium, France and Lux... Maybe Dan will be there. I will check this carefully :)

On your side, how do you know him ? Is Dan an expatriate US tattoer ?

  12. Just want to add that I would like you be indulgent please with my English.. as it's not my mother language.

In fact I'm working for a Canadian company based in Luxembourg so I have no excuses but sometimes it's hard to express things like emotion behind a tattoo or real feelings in other language. I will do my best and this forum will also allow me to improve my english writting in addition of seeing world best tattoo's

  13. I won't be original here: my wife has no tattoo and will never get one.

She knew me plainskinned and after 6 years of relationship (married after 3 years) I decided to jump into the body art and get some tattoos. Since 5 years, I continue this fantastic journey by adding more and more pieces. Now my arms are all covered, I have an half back and some tattoo on chest and belly.

I'm aware I have "transformed" my body but as she is my sweet heart, she knows I'm still the same inside.. she noticed and understood my ink virus.

At beginning I decided to "brainstorm" with her to draw my first tattoo projects but after some mind differences (My wife really disagreed my great white shark tattoo but I of course get it anyway) I finally decided to make my tattoo without her opinion. So she get the surprise (good or bad) each time I come back from the tattoo shop....

I won't say she is fond of tattoo but I assume she is certainly appreciating most of my tattoo's.. she's accepting my passion because she loves me. But forget the

idea to bring her into a tattoo convention.

PS: I just remember that in the beginning, she said "OK to tattoo the top of your body ONLY"... but now I'm starting the legs

But my best fans of my tattoo's are indeed my kids (4 and 6 years)... The ambulance tattoo received a awesome welcome at home.. they want to see it all the time..

  14. Hi,

Living at the border of France and always being tattoed in a french tattoo artist, I could inform you from my point of view:

French state was crazy. In last quarter 2013 they have afraid all tattoo world by suddendly making a law project to cancel 59 of the 153 ingredients used in tattoing inks... New reglementation should have taken place at 1rst January 2014... French tattoo artists and their customers were really shocked as this law is concerning 90% of the tattoing inks. In other words, the tattoers would have had 2 choices if law become elligible: tattoing in black/grey only in their shops or tattoing still people in colours but at home and ILLEGALLY of course... like in the time of alcoohol prohibition in Chicago.. Yeah baby Yeah

Reasons to forbidden these ink ingredients were not pretty clear: State is assuming they are carcinogenic.. but no medical evidence tests behind.

Finally, a syndicate of tattoo artists went to discuss with the State healthy and Safety authorithies and finally managed to cancel at last minute this law project. They took opportunity to work together and reinforce some dark some like the traceability and ingredients on the ink stickers.

I'm so happy this law was not published. Like that, I can still go to my french tattoo artist and perform tattoo in colours.. But this episode had an impact on tattoed people because we learnt that MAYBE, it's POSSIBLE that some ingredients in our coloured tattoo currently in our skin COULD be toxic or carcinogenic .... the only thing is maybe no medical labatories didn't prove it at 100% till now...

  15. Personally, I assume this kind of printers will kill the tattoo spirit' and values because it's really important for me to feel, to experience a connection with your tattoo artist... U share no emotion with a machine.

On other side, the machine won't tell you during the tattoo act: "hummm... I need to smoke one small cigarette" or " I must go to piss now..."

    ;) Just kidding.

I don't want to be tattoed by one of these machines.

  16. I confirm the area of armpit crease was really hard for me during my sleeve elaboration... Probably the most tricky part for the arm but tattoing directly on the elbow top is also rockn roll I swear...

I cannot say I have my ribs which are tattoed but my great white shark tattoo extends down to the ribs area and honestly these 10 minutes (the tattoo artist would probably say more 5 minutes only !!!!) were really horrible. I really hated this moment. That's why I have a deep respect for people which begin tattoos with a big piece on ribs... Respect guys..

I planned also to tattoo the lower part of my back and I read this area is really sensitive so I will experience one day..

I continue my tattoo on legs (bottom only) currently so I'm discovering pain on this area.. I had this week a new tattoo on my left calf... an ambulance (don't laugh please) but it was very acceptable but sure my legs will reserve more surprises. To be continued

  17. I won't never tattoo 4 parts: hands, neck, face, head.

The face... simply because per my opinion your face attitude should stay our ONLY way to communicate feelings-good or bad- to other people who are watching you.. Let's say on other words: a part of your back, arm or leg could be tattooed because it's "death nature" item somewhere.. but your face is really alive and is the only perfect tool to express your feelings.

The head... difficult to analyse deeply my choice: maybe because I assume men or women with a tattoed head are part of a second category of tattoed family: the ones who want to shock, to inform they have probably realized at the face of this planet the most painfull tattoo which can exists. Just imagine the thousands of vibration which can occured during this tattoo act. Respect to them for it but head it's definitively not my cup of tee.

Internally, I'm probably dreaming about tattoing my hands and neck but working in Finance universe, it's really not a good idea: If one day I leave for a new position in another company, i would probably have no chances to get a new good position with hands or neck tattoo in front of the supervisor's eyes..

  18. .. I'm very pleased to read this nice topic about full back piece... and obviously discover that the more painfull and sensitive part is the lower back according to a lot of your comments... So now I won't say I'm afraid but let's say I'm know clearly informed about what I will go through when I will fill in the lower part of my back.

I have currently one half back tattoed with a traditional Haida eagle with 2 heads (check my gallery). This project took me of course some time and money but at pain level, let's say it was easy to support.

It seems the lower part will be another story:(

    No pain No gain...
