  1. this has totally happened to me more than once, its not really a big deal to me; I don't expect or demand much "customer service" from what are essentially wizards plying an ancient craft... I am sure it will be fine and you will get a great tattoo just stay chill about it
  2. My appointment got bumped to thurs, which all things considered is good because i somehow broke out in hives today :(
  3. ha yeah a good friend in the business gave it to me a while back- tomas was already on my list though since I got tattooed by nikki last year
  4. my artist wish list right now is Erik Von Bartholomaus, Tomas Garcia and Robert Ryan, I want all of um to do thigh pieces- got a great idea but not posting it online
  5. I'm getting my inner forearm done monday by Dustin Golden from Deluxe in Chicago/ Skin Thrills Roanoke - covering a laser faded piece (finally after 19 months) I'm getting a Sumerian priest, can't wait
  6. Yeah, Permanent Mark, it was mildly interesting but with a lot of bullshit hype and drama
  7. thanks for the info :) NICE! I have a hand of glory myself, done by dustin golden at deluxe in chicago
  8. Just curious but do you know what the ballpark is on his waiting list time? What did you get done if you dont mind me asking?

This is a great tattoo, I love it
  11. Stoney Knows How- a great piece of tattoo history and the life of an amazing character Amazon.com: Stoney Knows How: Life As a Sideshow Tattoo Artist (9780764318320): Alan B. Govenar: Books
  12. I usually research an artist before I make the appt so I usually just look at portfolios to ogle the pix anyways, but its cool when you can see the care put into them- not everyone does
  13. $975 spread over a year and a half- it was a solid dark piece - I am actually very happy with the progress - I dont sweat the cost so much because I messed up a good tattoo with a poor addition decision (bathing suit) and will be glad to have to covered this summer
  14. I have to say that as bad as it looks in that pic, it doesn't scar and will look pretty much ok in another day or 2 I've already had one successful coverup over a lasered piece and its like it was never there
  15. Bonus Pic: I had another session yesterday, this is 4 hours after looks even worse today haha
  16. Thank you sir these are fan-fukkin-tastic clips Man I really miss the 90s sometimes
  17. I have a modification of one of the designs from the 3rd encyclopedia - done in color and removed the skull and crossbones: done by Josh Lucy somewhere in Ohio I also have a sort of bizarre anti Stalin piece from Tilt's book I love russian stuff
  18. I've had 5 sessions on a substantial inner forearm color piece, It hurt pretty bad but it only took a couple minutes each session, the blistering afterward was far worse. My wife is getting a lower backpiece removed and it hurts her far worse, while she can sit far better for a tattoo than i can. She required emla after the first session and it makes it bearable for her. I tried it and it helped quite a bit. As for the tattoo, it has faded substantially, unfortunately it has alot of green in it that has barely faded but at least most of the black is gone.
  19. thanks heh, 16 years is enough time to accumulate some good and bad work Dral thanks, what shop are you at? I figure I will be out for the next convention Here's one more pic before I stop spamming myself- my smallest and my favorite, by an old friend Andrew Conner: Its my daily affirmation :D
