    @irishowl to be EXTRA sure I'll ask strangers on the internet can i just direct you to our coverup threads now dont get this tattoo too small bad placement etc you obviously have the itch so stick around - stay on the latest lowdown thread and check out some cool tattoos and get your bearings on finding a good artist to help you with your ideas also not a fan of first tattoo on the forearm

    free tattoos! but seriously.... there is nothing wrong with supporting the local tattooer however - you may not be happy with the results especially considering its your first tattoo and i'm sure you want to be stoked on it you seemed willing to travel from my recollections of a post in another thread (????) if thats the case - go to philly - olde city or true hand will have you walking out with a fine tattoo

    well there are so many great artists out there you could start by checking out any of the tattooers in the LST interview section also the true love documentaries will give you a bunch more to check out enjoy

    you'll be all good @oboogie - dry heal is the way - i only do 1 application of aquaphor after 1st wash - then - thats typically it

    @polliwog thanks for the heads up - would love to meet up - I want to get to Redemption and Torchbearer - might be an ideal double shot :) maybe in the fall gotta see where money and schedule are - pretty sure i'm done till fall - but you never know - i'm just not a fan of healing in the summer

    @polliwog Todd is on my short list - I need to see if he still works out of Right Coast in Delaware (closer to me). Seems like he is up in Mass mostly? But I dig his work and imagine it's just a matter of time before I get tattooed by him

    dont mess with it - its a cool tattoo and it looks great i think what you are looking at is some scarring i have spots like that in various tattoos meh its a tattoo doesnt need to be perfect never will be perfect enjoy it - get more tatts

    @pidjones congrats wife and i hit 20 years in july my wife has not tattoos either i would love for her to get one - even if just to have some understanding of the whole thing but anyway its cool - she doesnt necessarily encourage me to get more tattoos but she understands now that its a part of who i am

    find the right tattooer first - the wrong tattooer will let you put 10lbs of shit into a 5lb bag then you'll find yourself searching coverup threads a good tattooer can save you from yourself establish that then discuss what you are looking for then let them design a good looking tattoo

    @Synesthesia offering some nice choices definetly like Pat Haney's work True Hand seems like a pretty solid shop and if you are going to Philly consider Olde City Tattoo lots of talent there as well anyway @blueblur1997 nothing wrong with staying local local just that sometimes there is again - do that research - ask questions good luck

    @Boiled Dove its an interesting thing - the perception aspects somedays i see myself as heavily tattooed as well somedays i just see the empty spaces :)
