I'm on my mobile right now and can't pull up the threads very easily, but search for hand tattoos in the search bar, there are some good threads on the topic.

Hi all
in Initiation
B & G??Well who knows, after my third I said no more...here I am planning a fourth. Regarding black ink, I just heard via grape vine that black ink is notorious for needing touch ups as ink doesn't set well.....is this wrong?
I am on my mobile at the moment but when I get back on laptop I will explain my ideas.
black and grey is what i meant
as far being notorious for needing touchups / not setting well
eh i dont know about that...

i tell ya what - i probably do the wrong thing here but i eat really light the day of - to me - i can deal with an empty hungry stomach a lot better than an upset one - afterwards is when i go for the comfort foods and bevs
-

Hi all

Hearing some good ideas here.
I hoping to get my 4th and possible last tattoo at some point next year but I would love to start planning now. That's why I came here, hoping to get some ideas from people and designs made up. I have some ideas, but would love help from someone to throw out some designs.
you probably gonna need to give some ideas of what you're into or you're likely to get alot of "panther" in the ol suggestion box

I prefer lining to shading. To me, lining feels like getting cut with a sharp knife vs. shadings feel of constant rubbing back & forth with the tips of a fork.
i think it depends more on area
i generally like that feeling you get during the shading

Hi all
in Initiation
cool tatts - wear em with pride
-
haha movie is forever classic
star studded
saw a great 'making of' piece on it
whole thing was basically improv
rodney, bill, chevy, ted knight (best performance imo)

i think that final piece should be open category - especially if its gonna be for all the marbles
in past seasons they factored in the whole body of work
nunez still did
but oliver swayed dave
dave even said i'd rather wear cleens work
i think cleen had the best work of the day
and of the show
but i do like jason and was glad he won
and he has been a guest artist at one of the shops i go to
heard good things about him as a person from those who know him well
funny thing though if josh didnt get tossed - jason prob woulda never made the final
-
love the chili peppers - saw them in concert oh about 20 years ago
feeling old now
good luck with the new tatt
dont panic
keep calm and heal on!

hey couldnt hurt to ask but if the guys wait list is 2 years out - i wouldnt expect he would do work that doesnt interest him professionally
-
agreed - jason has oliver to thank at least a little because he swayed dave imo
also - jason had some adversity to handle too as his first canvas tapped out after session 1
-
to me - i think all tattoos have meaning - even if it was just marking a time in your life in which you had no idea about what to get tattooed on your body - maybe you just felt compelled that you wanted a tattoo - you wanted to peek behind that door - thats why i think i often like tattoos that people share where there was a poor design or application of the concept - the tattoos are 'bad' but in a cool way - dont get me wrong - i would hope that folks that get into getting more and more ink seek out better artists or think their ideas through a little better so they end up with tattoos that enjoy wearing - but i just have such love for those "crappy" ones that so many of us start with
-
Hi all
in Initiation
lets see some ink! and welcome
-
glad to see jason get the win
though personally i thought cleen had the best tattoo
and i like the merry ink and New Years ink specials upcoming
probably in the minority here as i know a lot of folks on here despise the show and series
anyway
-
my arm looked like that one time when i cheated on an exam
j/k
cool tatt
pass along those references and let the artist do their thing
enjoy!

i tell ya
the more coverage i get the more i see the blank spots
haha this is NOT good
anyway -i find myself trying to balance out
not it terms of content / theme
more in terms of general coverage
11 and 12 coming up in jan - placements still up the air somewhat
my current work varies in 'size' if you will
ranging from 3 hour to 10 hour (multi session) pieces
upcoming works are each 3-4 hour pieces give or take
currenty i have right upper arm x1, left upper arm x1, left chest x1, rt rib x1, right lower leg x3, left lower leg x2, left thigh x1
future placements will be left rib, right upper chest, right thigh, and then the back - ah the back - definitely going there but i have to consider if i just want to add individual pieces or do i think full piece
