  1. Wash 2-3 a day then moisturize with light lotion. 🙂
  2. I think that I have a number of perfect tattoos. 🙂
  3. Hey, just so you are aware don't be surprised if a Japanese-style artist says no to you. There are a number of artists that won't be down with the idea of adding on and tying things together. It happened to me.
  4. That's good. I know that I am stressing about two appointments in September. I have plans to attend the London Tattoo Convention. Of course, the Boeing Max 737's are still out of commission and that's how I am supposed to get to London!
  5. @IX XV LXXXVIII OMG - that really looks awful. I am so sorry. First things first, keep it clean and get to the doctor. Have you been to this artist before? They are reputable? At this point, you are going to need to let it heal completely no matter what but do ensure that there isn't any underlying medical issues. Take very good care of yourself, meanwhile.
  6. When Old Soul announces their event, I will loop you in! Generally, it's at the end of September. So.much.fun! @JAC1961 Robert tattooed me there last year. 🙂
  7. Well, I don't see it as disrespectful...they need to cover their costs and make sure people are committed. That being said, I hope that your artist has an accommodating reschedule policy. Booking for 6-8 appointments in <x period> of time, requires a lot of planning and life does happen.
  8. @JAC1961 WHere are you from again? Robert has been coming to Old Soul Weekend in Canonsburg, PA for the past couple of years. Is that close to you?
  9. Yikes, that is a lot. I know with one artist that I worked with he required almost an entire day in a deposit.
  10. I'd go with @SStu advice. Unwrap it and go from there. Have you been walking a lot? Sounds like you are still swollen...your body is telling to rest and elevate. I have been a little sore for about 4-5 days on a few lower extremity tattoos but not to the degree that you are experiencing. Have you been taking some Advil or Arnica for swelling?
  11. Good communication is vital for your comfort and for letting your artist know what's up. Maybe even tell your artist that if you do or say something specific, that you need an immediate break.
  12. Yeah, it's crazy! Hope that you are healing better, too. My knee is crazy jacked up. I am sure that I will need a touch up eventually!
  13. Enjoy! Have a great day. Once again, I am on the wrong coast. Actually, I'm not even on a coast but you get my drift.
  14. Agreed with @Dan. I get this too every once in a while. Goes away in a couple of days!
  15. OMG. I don't know how you have lived with that train wreck? Maybe just cut off your arm? *kidding* I suggest taking a giant deep breath. You are going to make yourself crazy! The imperfections are what makes it real. 🙂
  16. Mike was like "Hey, why don't we do a video?". And there I was 5 minutes later with my shorts hiked up standing on the main street in Massapequa letting Sonic video my leg. @SStu
  17. I think that the tegaderm was loose on the side of my knee and the friction from my LOOSE jeans rubbed it. FUDGE. @SStu It's the size of a dime, too. All I can do it get it to heal and have Mike touch it up. If you want to see my the tattoo (and my very swollen knee) check out the Kings Ave IG page.
  18. GAH! I have a giant blister on my fresh tattoo. It popped. It's ugly and I am so pissed.
  19. Great news! And you are all cleaned out for Spring. @Dan
  20. @Dan Breathe, friend. It's terrifying to be sure butt (pun intended), the waiting is the hardest part. You got this, try to not to make yourself sick from worry. I will be sending positive vibes your way!
  21. Vice versa for me! Inner thigh and knee ditch were absolutely a tolerable. 🙂 @Dan
