  1. Looks totally fine, your body just heals things differently in different spots. Don't mess with it too much or wear tight pants and you'll be okay.
  2. Welcome dude, that's a good-lookin snake! Has Nathan done all your tattoos?
  3. Lotion, stockings, shower -- wait, which forum is this
  4. You'll be all right. Once you realize how your body treats tattoos (as wounds) you'll get a lot more comfortable with the healing process. And you described it perfectly; tight skin, some swelling, and -- especially on the legs -- that surge/sting when the blood circulates down. Always notice it when I swing my legs out of bed with a new one.. So I've just learned to wait an extra few seconds, let it circulate and then stand up and walk slowly. You'll be fine for the bus as long as you can find something to wear that's not super tight and doesn't rub it.
  5. WHoa! @Delicious doing that shit right.. and @jade1955 I think @Bunny Switchblade was blessed with the bat as well (from Paul Roe..?)
  6. Ha, @chrisnoluck coulda booked it for July and half of LSTers woulda come out with the same question!
  7. Welcome dude! Where've you gone for your non-kitcheny tattoos?
  8. The next step is just to drink better tequila!
  9. I've heard this same sentiment echoed many times, especially by women. I started getting tattooed the minute (ok, a month or so later) after I turned 18.. without getting too sentimental, I think that in a way it did help me figure myself out, even if for the first four or five, I didn't really know what I was getting in to. I've never had to grapple with any body issues but internally.. it seemed to level me out a bit, if that makes sense. Glad your changing skin is literally changing your life!
  10. FOURTH?! How long did you sit each time? - - - Updated - - - Also implied in that comment was "Looks fantastic, you lucky dog, you!"
  11. Why do these articles keep getting written? If you've read one...
  12. Welcome @jitterbug ! Good luck with the lasering. Who's doing your Medusa?
  13. Undoubtedly, I'll be working some combination of that weekend, but I'll make it a point to go! Now, whether or not I can attend on the same day/during the same window as other LSTers remains to be seen.. but I'll do my best! - - - Updated - - - Todd's great, do it!
  14. Welcome, Matt! Glad you stumbled upon LST..
  15. They would've only loved you more if they were leather. "Just put the quarters in my pouch.."
  16. Love me some straight razors. Funny story, one of the very first guys I was tattooed by -- Matt Lautar at Great Southern on Rt. 1 in MD -- gave me my first straight razor. We were talking during the tattoo and I mentioned being intrigued by them, etc. and when we finished up he opened a drawer filled with old ones. He fished one out and said, "Ok, here you go, this can be the start to your collection." I've gotten a few since then, a couple from my grandfather and another from a friend. Had 'em all hanging up and then we moved so now I gotta find another spot for 'em. The weird thing is that I love shaving and all those products and would love to get a nice razor but I usually have a beard... so I never really get to use all the fun stuff! Maybe this summer. Art of Shaving has some great stuff and I know this place had a beginner's package deal on straight razors that included a how-to but I can't seem to find it now..
