  1. yeah that reaper is so badass so jealous of htat one
  2. i don't think some beers hurts anything at all when i was getting one half of my chest done i'm pretty sure i had beers both times, maybe 3 or 4 in four hours or so, not wasted amount of beers coz you know, it's kinda hard to put beers down when you're lying and yr getting yr chest blasted. i always just try to go into my tattoo sessions healthy, with a good mindset and ready for some pain. get a meal prior, be hydrated and have something with some sugar to in it to eat midway through if it's going to be a longer session.
  3. @hogg articulated real well what it's all about. alot of times i post the tattoos i got coz i'm stoked about them but after a while i pull that shit down because my thinking turns to something along the lines of this is my tattoo and it's for me, my experience and our ideas...so some stay up some get pulled...just depends on my mood really and it's probably kinda weird at the same time. few rarely stay up on instagram for sure. i only have few tattoos from big name dudes. stell is one, and honestly, as i was thinking about that i didn't really think many of his tattoos are what i'd want on me, but he seemed like an interesting dude. i ended up with a rad tattoo but more importantly, stell is a rad dude and it was a fun experience. yeah it was fast, kinda loose and not the cleanest but it has soul and all the proportions are right, it looks proper from a ways back like it's supposed to. as far as eddy and horiyoshi losing it, you gotta do your part too, come up with a good idea and don't overdo it. i see that shit all the time on steve byrnes instagram, people asking for so many things that it just makes the tattoo ridiculous and it loses soul. like the person ordering a custom whatever and they decide well since it's custom, i'm gonna get all this shit and really go all out...but damn maybe that's the tattoo they need coz that's their personality and that's the tattoo they deserve. i'm rambling now, i should've just said i like to get tattoos from dudes i like to hang out with. the fact that these dudes aren't all over instagram is huge fuckin bonus. - - - Updated - - - makes me think of this
  4. i'll post a healed pic of this birdhead in here since i uploaded it to my flickr... a month old. the wizard is two weeks old. whitehead birdhead by misomad, on Flickr
  5. do both have a few random porkchops on my lower legs, gonna do some larger stuff on the front side so...save a few big spots to plan some larger stuff out
  6. short trip to portland with the lady got this from whthd Instagram
  7. i was gonna saw something like this but i never really made it there i was looking at someones flickr and i kinda noticed that about 5 or 6 yrs ago some of the super hotshit tattoo artists around here weren't even really doing traditional tattoos or if they were they were really shitty. you can still see them if you get off instagram and check out their shop website portfolios. and maybe i'm super critical or an asshole but so many of the "traditional" tattoos i see are pretty bad...shit so many of the tattoos i see are pretty bad. i just have to consider myself very very lucky that i stumbled upon the artists i did and it was word of mouth...
  8. i imagine it will be the same as now, some people will think they're rad, others will think they're ok, and some won't like them at all. since i'm the only one with my tattoos i only worry about what i think of them, thankfully i don't have any tattoos i don't like. my tastes are evolving though, so i like my first few tattoos the least but shit...i don't have anything i'd ever get blasted over or removed...atleast i say that now... also, i don't really say i like a certain style of tattoo. like that chromed out panther up there is fucking awesome and i also see plenty of tattoos that are supposed to be traditional that i don't like while there is other stuff similar that i love...
  9. last time i got tattoo'd, maybe two months ago, the tattooers up there kept joking about making everything chromed out...
  10. when richard tattoo'd me he made it sound like it wasn't too popular actually...but idk. i'm not dissing the design btw. was alot harder to see what everyone was doing back then as opposed to how we can just check instagram every few hours or something and see all this stuff...
  11. yeah the rose morph thing blew up with a quickness like that dietzel girl head did a year or two ago seems the hindu type stuff too oh and everyone trippin about how fast someone blasts a tattoo on - - - Updated - - - oh yeah and face tattoos?
  12. why don't you just call the shop and talk to him?
  13. all you dudes gotta do is think of something and then ask for it i'm sure these guys would be happy to switch this up even more...
  14. ^ I've met Katja a few times and she is super nice, used to work at perfection with Chris, at Rock of Ages now.
  15. i'm just gonna put this here since trevino's name just came up and i don't see much talk of him on here. when i was getting tattooed the other week we started talking about chris, one thing was, chris does stuff 10-15 yrs before anyone else does it and nobody knows because he is not on social media or the internet much. one thing that reminded me of all that, i came across a pic of partial body suit (not past a short sleeve, only down to the thighs, room around the neck so it doesn't show there) but anyway, the suit was yogi/monk/buddhist themed and it pretty much blew my mind...then i saw the date of the photo 1997. and i'm sure everyone that is on instagram knows that people are into that ^ stuff for the last year or so. seriously that work was so amazing. - - - Updated - - - so does nobody talk of trevino because they have to wait to get work from him? also, @irezumi i'm curious who you are talking about...
  16. pretty easily the best panther rose hybrid i've seen...imho of course. love rassiers stuff.
  17. glad this is over with dude knows i heal well so he takes his time and while that's awesome afterwards, it makes for a tough sitting. jaie devore at diablo rojo and sorry the pic is kinda bad, shop light plus i think my phone has some scratches on the lens over the camera so it has a weird haze...
  18. going back that great waves (siebert) thing since i'm not at work now this is a rad panther... Instagram
