  1. 28-year-old female tattoo artist from Denmark, looking to do my first guest spots from January 2017.
I've been tattooing for 2 years, I mostly work in B&G realism, but also enjoy doing other styles.
Please check out more work on my facebook: artbymichellem

  2. I'm selling my new, barely used Bulldog Liner from TattooMe! I've had it for two months but find it a bit too heavy for my girly hands, and after trying a machine one of the girls in my shop owns, I want to buy a lighter liner machine instead. I've tried getting used to it, but it doesn't feel right to me :)

Here's what it says on the website about the machine:

The specialist “Bulldog” tattoo machine is designed for the Old School professionals or those applying a dominant stroke in their art work 9-UP RL/RS. The equipment is characteristic for its specific dichotomy based on a large potential accompanied by low voltage operation (it reaches its optimal capacity at 6 V, whereas its full power is achieved at 7,5 V). Small in size, sturdy and soft to work with. Satisfaction guaranteed!•Brand TattooMe

  3. Wauw, there are some truly amazing artwork in this thread - wish I was able to draw cool stuff like that..

I've always drawn realistic stuff (or tried to, anyway), but now I'm trying to find my own style and just do a bunch of different non-realistic drawings..

Here's a mix of what I've drawn this year..

A realistic portrait done with pencils, a coloured portrait and a tattoo machine done with prisma color pencils and two unfinished designs just to try to improve my drawing skills to more than realism..

  4. In usual South Florida summer fashion, my entire front and back yard is filled with mosquitoes. It's particularly bad because tropical storm Issac dumped 12 inches on our lawn. Ugh. So my fresh calf tat is at least one bite on it, and another right next to it. As if the itching wasn't bad enough to begin with!

I spent 3 days close to the Blue Mountains in Sydney, and there were soo many mosquitoes! My new, healing and itchy tattoo now have 4 mosquito bites right next to it! - but I actually think it makes the tattoo itch less, because I'm more focused on the bites :P

  5. Yeah, I do :)

I know there's not a lot of tattoo artists who takes on apprentices without a lot of tattoos, and I hadn't counted on getting an apprenticeship as soon as I did (my plan was to improve my drawing skills and get more tattoos first), but then a really good shop close to my hometown put an add up, looking for apprentices.. Of course I had to apply, since it was a unique chance. Honestly I didn't think I'd get the apprenticeship - but I did and I'm extremely thankful for being given the opportunity to learn to tattoo by some great artists..

My coming mentor told me that I should be prepared to get more tattoos - and that's not a problem at all, I want lots of tattoos. I don't want to be one of those tattoo artists without tattoos!

Maybe it's different in Denmark - or maybe it's just the shop that I'll work in, but I know that the two former apprentices also started out with just a few tattoos (actually I think one of them didn't have any tattoos in the beginning), but both of them now have several bigger pieces.

  6. Yeah, I saw that thread, but think I'll start by just oploading to my album. The thread you link to is more for art in general, I think :)

Welcome to LST. What tattoos you got?

So far I only have one feather on my forearm.. In the beginning of December I'll get a rose tattooed and then from January, when I start my apprenticeship, I'll hopefully also start getting more tattoos! :)

  7. I've had a couple of different piercings, but none of them lasted more than a year - either because they got infected or because I got tired of them..

I've had my ears pierced several places, at the moment I only have normal piercings in the earlobe..

Then I've had my nipple pierced, got my navel pierced two times (second time hurt SO bad when the piercer struggled getting the needle through the scar tissue!) and then I've had a Skin Diver next to my eye.

  8. Wauw, that last one by Guy Aitchison is absolutely stunning!

I have some very, very small self inflicted scars that I'll soon get covered with a tattoo! Not sure when you are getting your tattoo, but if you want, I can let you know how my tattoo ends up (and how it feels when you get tattooed over scar tissue) - I'm getting tattooed on Dec. 4th :)
