  1. A couple that come to mind are the dude in The Hangover 2 and Edward Norton in American History X. There's a few tattoo scenes in American Me. I think the dude at 1:25 is a little heavy handed...
  2. welcome to LST! nice boltz girl!
  3. People's tastes in movies differ almost as much as music. I tend to find myself taking movie advice with a grain of salt, since I'm not sure if the person I'm getting the advice from has the same taste as me and knows what type of movie I'd enjoy. To give you a taste of what I'm into, before you take suggestions... a few of my favorite directors are Tarantino, the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, and Stanley Kubrick. That being said, I just watched Pan's Labyrinth for the first time last night and I was pretty captivated throughout. The trailer, the dvd cover, and back of the box synopsis make it seem like a kid's movie, but it's far from it... in fact I'd highly recommend keeping kids far away from the TV while this one's on. The director, Guillermo del Toro, definitely doesn't hold back with the blood and gore. This film takes you on a bit of a dark adventure... if you're into that sort of thing, I think you'd enjoy it.
  4. Not about tattoos, but about a tattooer...
  5. sounds familiar. i'd get all the guns out of the house, because that word's inevitable!

  8. generous man, but they're both great artists! are you going to Japan?!
  9. This one's lookin more and more iffy, for me. It'll take some convincing for the wife to drive up 3hrs and pay $20/ea if i'm not planning to get tattooed by anyone. Yes, yes... "so schedule a tattoo!" I'm broke!... (and saving for the SFO Convention).
  10. I think everyone is! Tattoos hurt, no matter how you put it!
  11. @RoryQ .... just keep sayin to yourself, "I've already booked Shige. I've already booked Shige. I've already booked Shige..."
  12. Just wondering, since I just joined in March... have any of these types of threads actually ever led to the person asking selecting a suggested tattoo idea?
  13. 1 hour 15 min including a food break... fuckin efficient.
  14. Great lookin feline there! You'll get lots of different opinions on healing, but you definitely don't need to start a new thread... http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-after-care/32-best-post-tattoo-care.html
  15. sweet! you DO know we're all expecting pics.
  16. Nice job, @CultExciter ! Just received mine yesterday with the Shawn Barber cover. I hope your red name circling skills have nothing to do with your design skills. kidding ;)
  17. welp, in that case, i'm gettin this one for myself!! 2 scoops of REJOICE!
  18. @wrazz .... so Friday has passed... didja get a tattoo?
  19. any chance you could switch the trip to oct. for the State of Grace convention!? just sayin...
  20. i think i've got it! how about... a banner... with the word "REJOICE"... wrapping around a sun! sounds like you already know what you want and it would make a fine tattoo. hopefully your artist can make the sun look like a sun. hope that helps!
  21. if you want the word "Rejoice", a cross might fit well for the banner to wrap around. it sounds like you've already selected an artists, since you have an appointment. i suggest you check out their portfolio and see what kind of things they like to do. the artist will have more fun with a piece they enjoy doing and hopefully it will optimize your experience and tattoo.
  22. that sucks, but it's probably hard to be bummed with your back lookin like it does at the moment.
