  1. That looks amazing! But you gotta go all the way down to the wrist!
  2. It’s way to early to assess. It’s all still scabbing at his point. Give it some time.
  3. That’s a killer tattoo! Nothing to be self conscious about ...I’d wear that with pride!!
  4. Tattoos take time to heal. I have had similar with my last tattoo. Just leave it alone and it will go away. The tattoo process is a pretty traumatic thing for your body. Give it time to heal. (Months)
  5. You have LOTS of blank canvas still!! Keep going!!
  6. Plus he wimped out at the elbows....I can't even take this guy seriously.
  7. Here in New England it's been a pretty crappy summer. It's rained quite a lot this year and we have only had a couple of weeks worth of nice weather. The forecast for the next week or so is high 70's during the day and 50's at night. I love the day temps but the 50's is a little cool.
  8. Yeah, you have a point there. I was just thinking of the no appointment aspect. But yes, I suppose somebody that didn't know better may think that just going in as a walk-in would be acceptable. The shop I go to has a receptionist that handles all of that.
  9. The only thing I might add is to address the comment you made about just showing up at a shop to talk to an artist.... if I had made an appointment to have a tattoo done and you just decided to pop in and took my artist and my time away from me, I'd be pissed....pissed enough to say something to you about it on the spot.
  10. I would think bacitracin "may" help...?
  11. Maybe have the anchor in the middle with the skull and girl/mirror on each side of it. Roses as filler.
  12. You're last sentence of you're op says "And how likely is it that even those areas can still be turned green?" So you do want peoples opinions on it. We all know that tattoos don't change colors all by themselves. People that don't want opinions on things don't post to forums. When you post things like this you essentially are asking people to take time from their lives to respond and attempt to help someone out with whatever the post is about. Then when everyone tells you that you're tattoo looks great as is, and you post that you're still not happy....that leave you with 2 choices...live with it or get it colored how you want it. But please don't waste our time with additional complaining.
  13. Go get it colored green then. Clearly you didn't really want our opinions.
  14. I also feel that the brown lends itself to a more realistic look.
  15. ^^^ yeah, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that tattoo. I don't know what you're seeing in it that you would want hide it. It looks fine. As oboogie said....tattoos are imperfect by nature, made by imperfect humans. Whatever you're seeing in that tattoo is all in you're own mind.
  16. I do something similar. I'll text my artist and ask if he wants a coffee or a sandwich from the sho next door. I'll grab it on the way in and we have lunch and talk about the next steps in the tattoo or just bullshit about whatever subject comes up. I actually have a lot in common with my artist, so we have great conversation and a lot of laughs.
  17. The first time I used the saniderm, I didn't experience the fluid buildup. Maybe because there was less invasive work done?
  18. Btw...I think you're tattoo came out great! I really looks a lot like the original sketch you posted
  19. I had my last session a week ago and this time my experience with it was a bit different. After the session, once I got home I showered and re wrapped with saran just as I did last time. The next morning, I showered again and my wife helped me apply the saniderm. We went out and did a few errand which took a few hours. When we got home I noticed a small section that had come loose. This happened last time too so I figured that I'd just trim it and put a patch on it. When I took my shirt off we noticed that the tattoo was still leaking considerable plasma. The saniderm had come loose in several places within the boundaries of the saniderm edges. I decided to just remove the saniderm and let it heal the old fashioned way...lots of aquaphor and time.... It worked so much better last time for me.
  20. I think that some color would make those imperfections a non-issue. You're seeing them because there isn't anything else to catch you're eye.... My first tattoo was very much like that. I went to have it fixed years later by another artist and he redid the lines and once he added color you really don't dwell on those little things.
