    A few friends of mine and I are working on an art zine. It will be completely DIY, no computers or photoshop layouts or anything like that. We would like to put out a new one each month and include a limited print/hand screened covers/whatever other cool and random things we decide to do. In order to make this cool for everybody to view, as well as for us to put together, we need art. We aren't going in any general direction with this so we are open to any styles/mediums to publish.     yeah for some reason i can't get arches blocks around here. i've just been using this shit thats like $3 a sheet.. its a little too smooth for my liking but i'm not any good anyways so either way it's probably going to turn out looking like shit anyways. maybe i should give arches a shot and just order it.

    I've been using microns as they're the only ones i've found that don't smear when the water hits them. I bought a pen and nib to try to learn to use but I can't seem to keep enough ink on the end to even pull one solid line. The microns work for now but the one thing I don't like about them is after I paint it the lines are much more dull than the rest and it kinda bugs me. Guess i'll just keep practicing til I can get it right!

    I'm in Central Pennsylvania so luckily we are just getting a lot of the rain and some mild winds. Half the cities power went out last night but ours stayed on. I saw some pictures of damage in NYC and it looks terrible. Everyone closer to the coast, stay safe.

    ehh i more so set up the appointment with antonio because i already wanted to get tattooed by him and since my band will already be in frederick that day for recording... why the fuck not? i'll have to check out those guys though. baltimore is only a 2.5 hour drive or so from here so i could always drive down another time. - - - Updated - - - p.s.. posted this in the full backpiece thread but i figured i'd post here too. got this lined yesterday by max kuhn.

    that's exactly what i was wondering.. and i remember flipping through the channels one night and i'm pretty sure they are timed while tattooing right? sounds like a shit show.

    a friend of mine applied to be a "canvas" for this show. i tried to talk him out of it but he was set on a "free tattoo". the lady called him and interviewed him saying they were looking people wanting full sleeves/chest/back tattoos. fortunately it never ended up happening.

    i've been following her on instagram for a while and admiring the cutouts. saw them in person at the cleveland convention a few months ago and they are really a million times cooler up close. definitely want to get one for myself here soon.

    i really want to fill my torso in more but i'm such a fucking pussy that i usually just get tattooed everywhere else instead. i'm starting my back tomorrow so maybe that will motivate me to fill in my sides and lower stomach sooner. maybe.
