I think an Oni skull is a fantastic idea! Oni skull clamping down on a snake. Yeah.

I was excited to read that Marcus Kuhn (of Gypsy Gentleman) fame is tattooing out of Dragon Tattoo in Eindhoven now.
I visit the Netherlands quite a bit for work, and it's not so far on a train from where I tend to be. Maybe I can do a bus-man's holiday and get tattooed.
Could be wrong and maybe it's just a guest spot, but I got the impression he was going to be sticking around there for a while.
His instagram yesterday showed him filming again. Hopefully he'll putting out another instalment in his series!

@MoistTowelette "Harsh" is right. 3 days in a row!? Brutal but very effective.

Thanks @hogg. I am quite pleased with the outcome. In my case, the lasering didn't eliminate design obstacles - but it greatly minimized the amount of darkness needed for hiding. Opened up a lot of options for the cover.

Promised the tattooist (Randy Muller) that I wouldn't post any in-progress pictures - and after 7-8 sessions it was finished late Sept and now is fully healed:
I'll post this onto the end of my laser treatment thread, too - just to wrap that one up for future referencing.

We've got a couple of good threads on here about coverups and laser treatments. I got great results on just 4 sessions. Trick will be finding the right operator.

i like it because it doesn't scream "super meaningful tattoo"
AND it's well done.

Well, we (finally) started - after almost 2 years waiting for him to move and cut down his list a bit.
Start of a full half squidpant. I wasn't going to post it yet - but he did, so I stole this image off of Thomas' instagram:

Anything abstract has a smaller following, regardless of the medium. Nothing wrong with trash polka style - just not as easy for many people to connect with.

I don't have time to re-research it, but I do remember seeing something I liked from a Philipino guy on "blackworkers" instagram during the last week or so.

@BrookR70 - I can't tell what part of the body that's on.
Or who is doing it . . .
-
Yeah man ill be down there in maybe 3 weeks to a month.
Give me a shout when you can better pinpoint your arrival. I'm in and out of town fairly regular. We'll grab a beer or two.

You passing through New Orleans?

I've always thought that the proper application of ink into skin is a craft.
Art (and therefor, the "artist") is subjective.

Welcome!
Post up some of your work - or a link . . .

Session two on my back. Mercifully we stuck to lining and shading the background on my upper back. Next time I think we're hitting the lower back, ass, and thighs, which I'm sure is going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait.
I'm surprised he didn't mix it up a bit. Hit some upper and lower on each session.
