AlannaCA reacted to Ursula in Mike wilson fast or not?
Mike outlined my back piece in about 1.5-2 hours. Including any very quick breaks. You can see a photo of it in the full back piece thread to get an idea of the size and detail of the outline. One of the very nice things about getting tattooed my Mike is that he is not interested in taking breaks, or spending half the appointment talking about bullshit while his machine runs in the rinse cup. He's a tattooer, and an amazing one. I have never once felt like he's over charged me, I've never felt like he wasn't in the mood to tattoo, never felt like he was rushing through something, nothing like that. He's always been really open about how long he wants to work on something for, and for how much money and it's always turned out awesome. Plus like the others have said, he can draw and tattoo just about fuckin' anything. I mean you could want a weird chair, or traditional sailor tattoo or some Japanese stuff and it will all be top quality work with no complaints.
Let me know when you are going to be in town, as I will have moved back to Jax by then. Oh and book your appointment in advance, when I was getting my back done I usually had to book about a month ahead of time, so coming from out of town I imagine you would want to get that appointment locked in while you can. He's working at the location on 3rd st, the # is on their website Inksmith & Rogers Tattoo

A polite "what should I bring" isn't out of line. Quality work is priceless, but living in the real world means budgeting; so once you guys get the design sort of worked out, asking for a ballpark isn't a faux pas.

i'm convinced that there could be a show where people compete to smash crap with their feet and people would watch it. this week was exciting as bob jumped in the lead during the dog doo challenge, but wait till you see the shocking twist that's in store for the contestants next week as they take on elephant dung! be prepared for an unexpected ending in which amazing revelations will occur and quick camera cuts will happen as intense music builds, the anticipation...who will win? -time for a commercial....."come down zombietown where we're having a blowout your brains sale" "buy more lame crap to fill up your empty life and messy house" "dont forget to like us on facebook"

Wasn't sure whether or not to put this in here or the funny photos thread. Both are appropriate I feel. This is jacked from the interwebs

Hogg, you mentioned this before and I think I remember other folks talking about the soaking that's popular in Japan. Totally crazy. I'll definitely try the hot towel thing, though it makes me super nervous!

It's similar to the "hot soak" method that's popular in Japan. About an hour after I get tattooed, I get the water as hot as I can stand it and either take a hot shower or soak in a hot bath for about 10 minutes. It usually hurts worse than the tattoo itself, at least at first, but the pain subsides fairly quickly. I've had great results with healing tattoos this way.

I waited about 10 mins for ointment to dry a little, and then I applied it right away after. You keep it on until it's no longer hot.

Get a paper towel, or a cloth from the hot water dispenser and soak it.
Apply immediately after opening you're towel or cloth and keep it on and make a face, cause it's going to hurt.
The hot water is suppose to suck down the swelling and pull out the red like witch hazel. I've noticed I heal real faster and better doing this.

I put a super hot towel on it right when we finished, no swelling !

Very good question, The healthcare system is the reason. Unlike Japan, which has the best healthcare system in the world, the US has the worst. (This was published in Forbes Mag.) When my wife and I went over the goals for the birth it became very apparent that the only way to meet those goals was to have our children at home. We don't want: the birth induced, vaccines, Vitamin K, poitocin and whatever other drugs they want to force on our children. Hospitals are for curing diseases and fixing things (broken bones, stiching up wounds). There really is no need to have your child there, unless there is a complication with the birth. High risk births average 5 to 8% of all births. I don't live my life in the 5 to 8%, I live in the 92%. I recommend for anyone who is having a child to set your goals and do what's best for you.
You got that right, the pain of getting a tattoo is nothing compared to the pain endured during child birth.

Wow! Big baby, big news, and even bigger congratulations.
After watching my wife give birth, I stopped complaining about how much tattoos hurt.

This morning at 12:30am my wife had our second child. We named him London Christopher! He came in at 21 inches long and a whopping 10 pounds 14 ounces. My wife is a true champ, we (SHE!!) did a home birth. So no pain killers, totally natural!!!

AlannaCA reacted to Duffa in Hand Tattoos
First off, I apologise if there is already a 'hand tattoo' thread (palm tattoos & knuckles I could find), but damn it, after a really solid search I can't find shiet. SO, I figured I'd start this one, and then if there is another one then Mods by all means please move and/or delete thread. Also when I say 'hands' I'm talking the top of said hands, or fingers or chuck knuckles in here as well (the knuckle thread I could find, but hey if your feeling lazy feel free to drop them here)

^^ Apologies, but I'm honestly not sure who did the above 2. Anyone who knows feel free to chime in ;) (I have my suspicions on who did the 'koi thumb sleeve')

This.
Although, Oliver putting that blonde chick in her place was truly great to watch.
P.s Fuck Al Fliction.

Thoughts on e2:
Ton Jones isn't "heavily tattooed". He's just heavy.
My fiancee's 81yo Jewish Bubbe used to have the same sunglasses that Chriss Angel... errr.. Navarro is wearing on the car challenge.
Peck calling James "hillbilly" was funny.
Al Fliction's glasses are stupid. As stupid as Al Fliction.
I want to see Peck and Nunez tattoo a pig in a 32* meat locker, pinstripe a car and braid Navarro's hair to match Al's goatee.
I want to eat crawdaddies with James at a hoedown.
I can't believe the producers didn't have a backup for psoriasis guy other than two tons of fun.
I feel bad for having watched another episode.
